Love you my Shhlutty friend! Can we talk about cover lust?! Terra is frustrated with always being judged by her family name and tired of the expectations being a mafia heiress comes with.

He's a bad man, he's not looking f ARC recieved via Netgalley from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. He's a bad man, he's not looking for something more and she's a good girl, she doesn't want the bad anymore.

The sparks fly though and the two find themselves giving in to their feelings, all while covering up the secrets they know could break them apart. When the truths are revealed will they still be able to stand together as one? Michael is handsome, well-dressed, and Yep, throw all your bad assumptions out the window, because Michael is going to woo you with his loyalty, his friendship, his sexual expertise, and his good looks and maybe a hint of his bad boy capabilities with his marine background and gun runner technicques.

Michael brings a spark to Terra's life andmakes her want for something more. I really enjoyed both these characters, particularly what they brought out in eachother. They had a lot of secrets, things from their past that shaped them, and as they opened up to one another we got to see a different side to them than just the heiress and the gun runner. While Terra's life is just floating by and Michael's is non-stop action, together they find passion, adventure, and an emotional bond they cannot deny. This is one of the most realistic relationships that I've read from Scott and I gotta hand it to him, they might be my new favorite.

You are fucking fun runner, Tripp. The book is told in dual POV from both main characters, allowing the reader an in depth look at their life when separated and together. There's also an incredible cast of secondary characters that you won't be able to shake, from the hilarious best friends to the secretive family members. The plot definitely winds deep and is perfectly set up for more books in the series. I know I am sitting on pins and needles waiting on the next book, because some of the twists Scott Hildreth ended the book with made me desperate for more.

If you enjoy Scott's special brand of romance and storytelling, you won't want to miss the engaging and suspenseful The Gun Runner, book one in the Mafia Made series. There is something to be said about a book that stays fresh in your mind a week after reading it, even more so if it has stayed on your mind after some seriously stressful life stuff.

Gunrunners

The Gun Runner was that book for me this week and it is definitely deserving of these 5 stars. Link to full review below! My first Hildreth book was a success! Loved that the H isn't a manwhore and he and the heroine actual go on dates and talk about the status of their relationship! Woohoo for normal behavior! Editorial Reviews

Jun 14, Jennifer rated it really liked it. ARC received for review Great book until the end. I mean I shook my Kindle trying to get a few more pages, but nothing. There's lots of hot sex, secrets on both sides, and little bit of angst with when to say L word. It was great and I was loving every minute of it until the last pages. It just ended with a HFN and several holes. Yes, there's another book, but is it more of Michael and Terra or is it about Cap or Lance or I need more now!

TGR is your favorite action movie and the best chick flick ever made rolled into one badass, slammin', no holds barred Mafia book! There's nothing sexier than a sexy alpha dude dressed to the nines coming to the rescue of a damsel in distress! Like a wrecking ball, dude dropped Vincent like a wannabe bully without his crew around to help Michael is a former marine running a very lucrative gun business. Terra is a Mafia princess hiding her identity because she wants Michael to like her for who she is and not her connections.

The two embark on this super hot, super physical, "thing" as in we'll just lie to each other and pretend the horizontal tango is all we're interested in until reality kicks them in the rear! What's done in the dark, will always come to light, baby! TGR is fast- paced, hot, and action packed! The scenes flow well, the sex flows even better, and the way Michael speaks to Terra is beyond sexy! Their "thing" is real life, not fantasy.

Very realistic and believable from beginning to end! TGR is a kickass start to this Mafia series! You want this series.

Arma 2 Wasteland - Gun Runners - Part 2

Hold on to your seat because TGR starts hard and ends harder! It is no secret I love my mafia books and I have to admit that is what first drew me to this book, along with the cover. The mafia have always been feared, you only read a little about what is said in papers but underneath reporters license I have always been intrigued about the goin The Gun Runner Mafia Made 1 by Scott Hildreth 4 stars!!! Tripp was a marine, well versed in combat and undercover ops and of course guns and their arsenal.

Now out of service he is a gun runner, her obtains, builds and sells guns to those causes he feel are worthy. While he is selling illegally he does have his scruples about him. Tripp is alpha through and through, he oozes power, strength and charm. He carries himself like a man in control and a panther ready to strike. He was confident, charismatic and a very filthy talker. He commanded every room he walked in and the attention of anyone within it, he exuded presence and ultimately fear. His brothers in arms were like a family, the only family he had and the scenes when these group of men together were at times intense and well as hilarious.

My old high school sweetheart asked me not to pole it in her butt, too. And you know what? What they say and what they want is two different things. Tripp witnesses Terra being manhandled and dragged across a car park by her ex and being the noble man he was; he steps in to help a damsel in distress. These two were instantly attracted to each other and while Terra would have been more than happy to bump uglies with her saviour, Tripp was more reserved.

Terra and Tripp were insanely hot together, holy combustion and Scott Hildreth really hit the nail on the head with the attraction, passion and chemistry between these two. Despite the family business, Terra wanted no part and was actually truly unhappy in the fact that her surname put many people off even being her friend. She was lonely and for once just wanted to be normal, so it is no surprise she keeps her surname to herself while getting to know Tripp. Terra though was likeable, despite her little lies, she was a smart cookie, perceptive and deceptive but that is no surprise given the blood running through her veins.

However, this is all about the chemistry, the relationship build from friendship to more and that all-consuming love story. But also, this book has plenty of action to keep you engrossed from page to page. Covert missions, deals and dipping toes all bring this story to an engrossing head and has really whetted the appetite for what is to come. I read this in one sitting, was glued from page to page and now I am eagerly anticipating the next one…what is on the cards for these two?

Will a relationship built on a bed of lies really stand a chance and will the mafia get their grip into Tripp? This man has a cunning head on his shoulders and I feel that the mafia may have just met their match…bring on book 2. View all 8 comments. Mar 08, Kate's Corner rated it liked it Shelves: Scott Hildreth writes an engaging story with interesting characters.

So far I have tried one other book by the author but couldn't get past the sample due to the heroines body issues that she had. There is enough body shaming in social media so I don't need to read about it. You don't have to do it to yourself. But I'm getting off topic here. Micahel has sepent the last ten years in the Marines he is now a free man and has established his own business as a arms dealer.

He is a grey area of the l Scott Hildreth writes an engaging story with interesting characters. He is a grey area of the law.

He has no family and likes it like that. That is until he one day saves a Italian damsel in distress. Terra is a mafia princess and after a split with her ex who drags her out of the coffee shop and is abusive she gets saved by a knight in shining tarnished armour. They hit it off and the relationship development progressed naturally. I loved that there is no instalove or cheating which I love. They can't forget one another but they both have their secrets.

You know what they say though. Three can keep a secret if two of them are dead. Terra finds out his secret. So get off your high horse there sweetheart cause you ain't much better. You lied big time. This is no the colour suits you when it totally doesn't. My problem with Terra? Trust fund baby and spoilt. Michael is a fantastic hero. The sex scenes are hot. When I read a mafia book I expect it to be dirty and gritty. Ok so this wasn't rainbows and unicorns but I felt as if that edge was missing.

Me being ambivalent about this book is noone's fault but my own the same applies that I lost interest in the story. Review can also be found http: Just found out that this ends in a cliffhanger. Well bugger me that is fan-fucking-tastic and no release date on book two yet. If I'd known that then well Book received from Carina Press via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Tripp was an ex military but current arms smuggler and he just didn't do relationships. Once he met Terra, everything changed. He told her that he "wanted to earn the right to watch you pull your panties up your thigh The more time they spent together, the more it was clear that they both were in it for the long haul. Of course, mob life is never smooth sailing. Tripp was sexy and very direct. I enjoyed his character a little more than Terra's.

She wasn't stupid but a little more naive than a mob princess should be. The narrator made this book even better for me and I plan on going right into book 2. She acted all indignant over Michaels job and his dealings yet she didn't tell him she was a mafia princess. I understand in the beginning why she did it. But as things progressed and became more serious between them, nothing!!

Tara, kept the truth from him through the entire book. I'm so frustrated with this book!!! I'm torn between like and hate. Jun 18, TeriLyn rated it liked it Shelves: The first person writing style is engaging and the characters intriguing. There was a certain charisma to this book that made in an entertaining read. The plot is different from what I'm used to especially where a mafia princess is concerned and the hero she chooses.

From start to finish there was never a dull moment where these two main characters were concerned. Michael and Terra weren't looking for each other but insta-lust went viral the moment their eyes met. Their individual stories are just as interesting as their story together is passionate. The heat emanated from the pages, especially from Michael, is undeniable. As the two foster a new relationship without revealing pertinent details about themselves their lives begin to intersect in ways neither of them fully understand. Secondary characters provide excellent comedic relief as well as the banter between Michael and Terra.

With more to come from the Mafia Made series I hope Michael and Terra's story gets further delved into. There are some plot points I think that need wrapped up in addition to the biggest one where book one leaves off. It's not a cliffhanger though, just leaves more to be desired in a good way. The Gun Runner was an easy, enjoyable read. I look forward to more in the series. Hildreth has done it again he has created a story that had me sighing, clapping, biting my nails, fanning myself, taking MANY time outs to think dangerous I know , and most important greedy for MORE!!

Hildreth has done it again he has created a story that had me sighing, clapping, biting my nails, fanning myself, taking MANY time outs to think dangerous I know , and most important greedy for MORE!!! From page one, I was riveted to where the story was going to go, and who these characters where…. He is a deep, thought provoking, raw character that I am positive you will want to learn more and more about as you read. The personality of Michael was an intriguing discovery and one I am pretty sure has only just begun. The way that this character chose to walk through his life was something I admired greatly.

Another strong reason I LOVED this character was because of his love for the woman who captured his heart, there is nothing sexier than unconditional love, enters Terra. The below quote, stopped this reader cold…. Terra Wilson was someone who I wanted to choke. She is the type of character that adds that level of emotion to a story, that makes you want to turn the pages faster and faster. She is the type of character that has you yelling at the author because he is not doing what you want.

So even though I want to choke Terra, I LOVED her, she was a huge part of the roller coaster ride that this reader went on while reading, even if she, herself never did get to ride one. I loved Cap and Michelle. He was not only intriguingly sexy, she was honestly snarky, and both were hilarious.

At the same time I was beyond curious to learn about the Agrioli Family. Yes the characters that were introduced from the crime family have this reader anxious for more.

That is it, that is all I got…. Sep 14, Kira rated it liked it Shelves: Ehhh this didn't do it for me. The dialogue was stilted. Some of the things they said sounded more like something a teenager would say.

GUNRUNNERS

All of the drama was a result of a lack of communication. Both of them weren't being upfront about things in their life. Terra found out what Michael hadn't told her. She flipped out and got overly dramatic. Of course none of this inspired her to be honest with him. Most of the book was rather dull. I may read the next one, but I'm not looking forward to a bunch Ehhh this didn't do it for me.

I may read the next one, but I'm not looking forward to a bunch of drama due to Terra's lies. Love, love, love this book!! Could not put it down!! Terra is a mafia princess who dislikes anything to do with the mafia. She is a trust fund baby who just got out of an abusive relationship. But her ex isn't done with her and when her ex decides to put hands on her again he is interrupted by a big fine ex marine. Terra doesn't care who he is she just wants to see him again. Tripp is an ex marine who doesn't stand for men putting their hands on women.

So when he happens to visit Starb Omg yes!! So when he happens to visit Starbucks and he sees this POS putting his hands on this beautiful woman he interrupts. And now he saved the day but all he can think about is when he is gonna see her again, if ever. What is he thinking? It's been 11 years since he dated, he knows in his line of work women are just distractions. But can he stay away?!?! I loved this whole story!! This is my first book by this author and it will not be my last. This was a very well written book with exceptional character development.

There are more characters that I like but those are my top 4. Terra is upsetting me. I mean we all know how it's going to go down but the longer she holds on to her secret the worse it's gonna be!! But the fast paced romance they have going on is just perfect!! I even like her father which I didn't think I would but really he is not too bad. Between me and you for those who have read this do you not think there is a possibility Tripp had some Italian in him?!?!

There were so many scenes that I just loved. I laughed so much. Cap is over the top and I love him I think I have mentioned that a few times! Definitely loved the movie theater part!!

The Gun Runner (Mafia Made, #1) by Scott Hildreth

The Gun Runner follows the story of Michael and Terra. Michael is a former marine. He used to save the good guys and is now selling guns to the bad ones. Terra has lived a life that most would be terrified of. She is untouchable, the daughter of a dangerous mobster. Terra wants Michael to get to know who she is and fall in love with the real her and not get caught up in her identity…..

That being said, Scott Hildreth is an author that has a ton of buzz surrounding him. The synopsis sounded right up my alley, so I gave it a try. And let me tell you, I am so glad that I did. Told from dual points of view, The Gun Runner is fast paced, sexy, exciting and filled with danger. This story pulls you in from the very first page and captivates you the entire time. This is a book that you can easily devour in one sitting.

It will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see how things will play out. I loved Michael and Terra from the moment I met them. I loved the way that he was with Terra and appreciated how he wanted to make sure what they had was worth investing time in before he just jumped into bed with her. Terra was just plain awesome.

She is the type of woman that will go after what she wants. Put her together with Michael and those two are an explosive combination. One, that I could not get enough of.
