Bloodfeud: The War of the Fang
One interesting facet to the story was that a number of the main characters of this novel are not typical of their Legions. Jarl Greyloc, the Space Wolf leader left in charge of the Fang, is unusually taciturn and measured for a Space Wolf, not as prone to the violent temper of his brother Marines, and sad that his legion has not evolved since its creation. The novel is not solely about the titular Battle of the Fang.

Rather, it is the story of two battles and a third, smaller but no-less-important struggle aboard a scout ship. When Wraight describes this battle predominantly in the second half of the novel , we see the Wolves unleashed and at war in the manner to which the Emperor always intended them to be: The author brings the conflict vividly to life on the page in some scenes, they were better than the siege of the Fang. Similar to Greyloc, but more antisocial, Blackwing must keep his crew under firm control while also dealing with some unexpected stowaways who hope to thwart his attempt to recall the Legion from Gangava.

- Civilian Reader: “Battle of the Fang” by Chris Wraight (Black Library)!
Wraight writes from a number of perspectives: For the main, however, the author has deftly plotted this novel to keep the story moving and to keep the reader gripped. Battle of the Fang offers the conflict and clash of arms between the Space Wolves and Thousand Sons in all its brutal, feverish, tense and gory detail. In this respect, Battle of the Fang forms a very worthy Third Part to this overall story.
Feuding Families
By the time of Battle of the Fang , Magnus has been transformed by his wholehearted acceptance of Chaos, turned into a daemon effectively, if not actually. It makes me interested to see how the other fallen Primarchs might be characterised in novels set after the Horus Heresy: The final clashes are also gripping not to mention, a little heart-breaking. Overall, this was a solid action-packed sci-fi novel.

Highly recommended for fans of military sci-fi as a whole, and a must for fans of WH40k and Black Library fiction. Sounds like a great multi-layered novel.

She finds that somehow this mild-mannered medical intern holds the key to the feud between the vamps and the wolves, prompting her to wake the leader of her coven, Victor Bill Nighy. Now though, Selene is having doubts about the feud and the legitimacy of her cause, as the politics and betrayal behind it become apparent. To add to the complications, Lucian, the head of the wolf pack, has bitten Michael, so he'll turn canine at the next full moon.
It's a bit of a problem, as Selene has fallen for him.

I'm not quite sure why Underworld has got such bad reviews. Sure, it's heavily stylised, a bit muddled and rather monotone but these seem like minor crimes after a summer of unrelenting blandness from Hollywood. The war takes place in a colour-drained perma-night which mixes the modern and the old-fashioned.
