This is the fifth in the correct reading order, but last for me to read because I had a hard time locating it.

The plot devices are contrived and the characters are shallow people living shallow lives. This detective is an elderly woman married to a retired English policeman. This time she solves the murder mystery while her husband is away in Africa. Some scenes are rather far-fetched, but if you suspend logic long enough, you might enjoy the hi-jinks in the book.
I didn't think this was as good as some of the other books by the same author, but is an easy read on a hot summer day. Jul 10, Carrie rated it liked it. This was cute, but I didn't like it as much as the others in the series. In this book the police don't believe our heroine when she tells them that she found a body at Victoria Station, so she takes matters into her own hands to try to find out who the victim and murderer were. It was all a bit too improbable, even given how improbable we might expect these books to be. May 30, Pithee rated it really liked it Shelves: Read by Kate Reading.
