If you are familiar with working with Kindles, you know most of this. There are some 10 specific items that are nice to know. If you are a true novice, you should not be without this book. I just skimmed through the book for starters. There are several features that I probably will never use, but all in all it looks to be well written from a user's viewpoint. The instructions are precise and easy to follow. One con I didn't see concerning the origami case was the non-ability to take rear photos or video when the device is in the case.

Please try again later. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. Since I have an HDX this comes very close to describing my device. For example, as simple a procedure as loading a purchased item to my PC is described incorrectly. Considering that Amazon has no "official" manual this is a pretty good one.

It would be nice if the manuals updated every time the firmware does. Most of all, I wish Amazon offered a data monitor for the HDX and allowed users to okay or deny those automatic downloads.

The biggest problem is that it does not have an index! Any reference book should have an index. I find it very difficult to search for an answer. I couldn't find a basic review of the screen spots to search nor the ways to move through or out of a book.
