May 21, Ionia rated it really liked it. Pretty much impossible to write a review for this without including a spoiler that will ruin either this book or the previous books, so I am going to keep this one short.

I had expectations for this book after reading the others in the series and for the most part, this met them. The story was interesting and the return of some favourite characters made me feel right at home. I liked the fact that this was a quick read and was engaging and fun, just as the ones before it. The ghosts were more fu Pretty much impossible to write a review for this without including a spoiler that will ruin either this book or the previous books, so I am going to keep this one short. The ghosts were more fun in this book as well.

I didn't feel the huge connection between the main characters that I was hoping for. It kind of felt at times like they were pushed together rather than wanting to be around each other. Still, the writing was solid and it was a fun way to spend an afternoon. If you have not read the rest of this series, check it out. Even so, this is a good book that can be read without the other novels, although it might help to understand things more clearly if you do read the others.

Nov 01, Jayne rated it it was amazing. I loved he hole Paris thing because there's alot of background info and a ton of detail, it really makes it clear so when you're reading the book you can actually picture it in your head, and it was intense, REALLY intense, the hole Dojo thing was awesome!

It was a bit different than the others not as many investigations but I loved it just as much. Nov 13, Kristin added it Shelves: This wasn't my favorite of the series, but I still liked it. I would have liked more investigations. Nov 05, Lexy rated it it was amazing. It left me hangin. I was hoping for a cool investigation and I wanna know how Kendall would get along with her newly found real Grandparents. Apr 22, Katherine Paschal rated it it was ok Shelves: Kendall, a teenager who just came into her psychic powers is offered a chance to go to Europe by her mentor Oliver.

She and a few other psychic teens join up to offer their services to people in Europe due to all the spiritual residue. But not everything is as it seems with one of the teens, Christian. He has become incredibly famous for his psychic readings where he uses a Quiji board to help him communicate with the spirit world. Bad things start happening, causing some of the teens to leave t Kendall, a teenager who just came into her psychic powers is offered a chance to go to Europe by her mentor Oliver. Bad things start happening, causing some of the teens to leave the tour and return home, yet Kendall and her team stay to try and fight the evil they feel is brewing.

I just could not get into this book. It felt more like a historical travel brochure than an exciting teen ghost mystery. Most of the book it felt like the main character was narrating the architecture and history of each famous location in Europe. It was like pulling teeth to finish this book. And each problem they face is fixed so easily, it just was not plausible.

I do not know if I liked Kendall. At times she was so oblivious to the things around her, like the love triangle, or the manipulation that happened, it was hard to root for her. And every time something interesting was going to happen paranormaly, she would pass out. I was really disappointed in the mystery aspect of the book and the supernatural quick fixes, as well as all the happy endings that occurred for everyone in the story.

Lets all hold hands and sing together about how great everything is. Also, the romance between her and Patrick was a little lovey-dovey to me.

They could read each others mind as well as see through the other person, it was intense and awkward. Instead of the angsty teen romances we normally see, they would fight and a few minutes later apologize and see the error of their ways. It was hard to really believe. To be fair, this is the sixth book in the series, which I did not know when I started reading.

Maybe the books build on each other with character development and I just missed out on all that by jumping in the middle. I will give the benefit of the doubt. I received this book from the publishers in exchange for my honest review. May 04, Tiana rated it it was ok.

The Journey (Ghost Huntress, #6) by Marley Gibson

I want to thank Netgalley for a copy of this book for my honest review. I was excited to read this, anticipating so much from it. Jason is back and they're going to Europe! Unfortunately for me, I expected too much and it didn't deliver. I thought for sure there was going to be so much tension and a love triangle with me going "who would I choose? There wasn't much in way of anything actually.

Jason had a few moments, but he basically gave up. There wasn't much romance and the action was really I want to thank Netgalley for a copy of this book for my honest review. There wasn't much romance and the action was really limited. I thought there was going to be so much more happening with Christian Campbell and Jane with all the hints we get but even that was a let down.

See a Problem?

I don't agree with books where it's convenient for the author to hook up 2 people because they're there and it ties up loose ends nicely. I could see this happening almost from the beginning. It's funny that the "psychic" didn't see it happening and she says that alot in this book. I've never agreed nor liked when friends get hooked up with their BFF's ex-boyfriend. I just find that tacky and in real life there's a friend code about that.

I don't see how she's ok with it when she says how much she used to love Jason. Also being her best friend, shouldn't Celia have talked to her about it first and ask her if it's ok before she started making out with him?

Shouldn't Jason have checked that it wouldn't ruin their friendship? It just seemed so callous and unreal, even if you do wish them happiness.

Good friends, but especially best friends don't do that to eachother. Celia knew how heartbroken she was when he left for Alaska.

Like I said, it's like the author thought let's just match people up and everyone's happy. This series has been a fun easy read for me, but now I found this one just annoyed me.

The Journey

Jan 10, Nicole rated it it was amazing. I was a little disappointed to hear that this book would only be released in ebook but that isn't a negative. The story seamlessly continues from where the last book left off. A few twists and turns that were unexpected but definitely appreciated. Kendall and the gang end up in yet another unseen predicament but this time, it's international! I'm never disappointed with Marley Gibson's writing or story telling and this book follows suit.

I have never read the rest of this series, but the author does a great job of giving back-story information and sets the stage for this book.
