This book is not yet featured on Listopia. Oh the demon most certainly rises DL has handed over the reins to Christopher to Der Unterworld.
So after reading the first book my impression of Christopher is of a young man who is fun, handsome, sexy, sharp and that DL has made a wonderful, perfect choice for someone to manage his business Well take my hand I will bring the holy water let me walk you down the path that Christopher has now paved There were parts in this book that had me crossing my legs and cringing!!!! But only because of the horror of the whole situation and the thought that maybe this could happen However I must add that DL in this book for me is lovely and I felt myself warm to him so much and my heart ached for him at the end of this story Just sayin There was some great sexy, kinky scenes in this one but I feel they were over shadowed by the erm View all 4 comments.
Sharon rated it liked it. I read this book a while ago and it left me stunned, slightly sickened and upset, I had to wait before being able write my thoughts objectively. This is book two in the series and DL has retired to tend his garden believe it or not!! Message received 'power corrupts absolutely'. Very dark, very well written and very disturbing Nov 22, Heidi Petersen rated it it was amazing. I loved this book and although this book is a lot darker than the first one, I found it was keeping it within the storyline and the characters.
I don't want to spoil it for the people who haven't read it but I had a lump in my throat at the end. I can't wait to start the next book in the series and more from Dark Scribe.

When Miki comes down the stairs, she is attacked and decapitated. Ryo Asuka goes on TV and stirs unrest and violence by warning people to be vigilant against demons. Later Akira sees the group of vigilantes with Miki's head. He loses control and transforms into Devilman and kills them all in a sea of blood.
Devilman is told his Army is combating a squadron of demons led by Selos. When Akira arrives Selos gives Akira the option to join his army or die. Akira responds by destroying the building. Amon emerges from the ruins, having been liberated from Akira's body and Selos' demons attack him, but Amon is far too powerful for them.
Amon finds the young Yumi under the rubble and bites her in half, ending her short life. He then confronts Selos. They engage in a citywide titanic battle but Amon is far too strong and kills Selos. Amon then finds and attacks Satan who tells him that Akira still exists.
Amon confronts Akira in a wasteland. If you like ghost stories, if you like New England horror a la H. A battle over opening the gates of Hell? But when you take that familiar conflict and set it in a secondary fantasy world, it becomes a dark fantasy story.
Rising Demon
Sexual assault tends to figure prominently in many dark fantasy books. Sometimes in a well-handled fashion; sometimes less so. I think Tender Morsels falls into the first category. Along similar lines, fairy tales can be dark.

Like, really dark…especially if you look toward the original versions and not the family-friendly stories released by Disney. Before Six of Crows , Leigh Bardugo burst onto the literary scene with Shadow and Bone , about a soldier named Alina who discovers she has mysterious powers capable of driving back the monsters that threaten her country.
These powers attract the attention of a powerful magic user known as the Darkling and from there, Alina plunges into a world of intrigue and betrayal. Dark fantasy books are full of anti-heroes. But what about anti-hero ines? The Young Elites trilogy introduces us to Adelina Amouteru, who shows us what happens when you embrace your dark side. The grass is always greener on the other side, or so we think. Coraline discovers otherwise when she crosses a threshold to find a house and family similar to her own.
