In the process he becomes embroiled in a mystery that leads him to discovering many things about himself while affording him the opportunity to make a difference in others' lives. If you have children, do not read this book. This story was extremely well written. The characters, dialogue and story line are believable. The entire book is depressing. The story flows over several years.

Beginning with the abduction of a reverend's daughter, finding her body and ends with his funeral. There are several other turns in this book but I do not wish to spoil this for other readers. I will not re-read this book and have no desire to view any other work by this author. Please note this is my personal opinion and does not reflect on the author. I think this author worked really hard to make this an interesting book.

For me, there was too much description of whatever was happening in almost every sentence. I enjoy writers that pull you into the book with description and information, but I don't need poetic, flowery script about every little thing. Too many adjectives, not enough story telling.

Honestly, i would prefer plain old beige over so many "vanilla" colored things. I didn't feel too much investment emotionally in what should be a heart tugging book. With practice, this author could get a lot better. What a great read! I did something I have never done before Never have I done this! That's how good it was. I was so anxious to get to the end to see how it ended, that I hurried through. Then, the second time around I savored every page and took my time looking for things I missed the first time. You gotta read it! One person found this helpful.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. There was a tension throughout that kept me turning the pages and the characters were so believable, it was impossible not to care deeply what happened to them. They were not perfect people, but good people with faults and struggles they had to overcome. They were easy to believe in and the plot too, was very believable.

The resolution at the end was surprising yet satisfying. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys good writing and a suspenseful story.

I did love the book. From its startling cover to the last period placed, this book effortlessly captures the reader and drags him or her into the deepest depths of the citizens around Snowbird Lake. Hang on for a ride, because it is impossible to predict each twist and turn as some may enjoy doing.

In this story, the quiet winter peace of a community is shattered when a child hunter arrives on scene. As they cope, the characters nearly jump to life off the pages. The settings are given such vibrant descriptions, the plot is just a plus. This is a story of heroes - while human and frail, heroes all the same.

This is the author's first published novel. Stan Bednarz masterfully created an unforgettable story.

Likewise, the plot is enhanced by the genuine character skillfully developed in Pastor Robert Davis as he struggles through a devastating time ,yet remains steadfast on his journey of hope tracing the disappearance of his beloved daughter Annie.

I especially liked the kind and loyal family friend Sheriff Tom Brewer, sometimes torn between duty and friendship. Bednarz's unique descriptive style puts you in every moment of this riveting and memorable story.

Child abduction is a hard subject to write and maybe a harder subject to read. The book opens with the last few moments that Robert spends with his daughter Annie. The rest of the book follows his search for truth, justice and perhaps vengeance. It is also a book about what faith looks like in the face of terrible circumstances.

Is God silent in the aftermath of tragedy? Or are we just too shell-shocked to hear His voice? Miracle on Snowbird Lake examines this. It also looks at a life and spirit that refuses to bend to evil, but chooses to continue to live a selfless life. This is a debut novel, so there are a few wrinkles in the telling, but by and large it portrays emotions and reactions realistically. Its strength lies in the vivid description of the world surrounding the action. It really is an atmospheric novel. I received this book from Bring It On! Communications in return for a review.
