You already recently rated this item. Who ever addressed the SUN as a friend. Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov is considered by many to have been a master and a spokesperson for The Great White Brotherhood. While his fans consider him a master, he certainly did consider himself one as conveyed by his speech and tone many times in the book. This book, the second or third I have read from his writings or talks, attempts to convey information about moving us towards a solar civilization.

The book largely does not succeed to convey it's title topic. It also does not support his being seen as a masterful source of information for the next world age. My impressions are that he was influenced by the Theosophists I hear alot of Blavatsky in him. He also refers to the Zohar and Jewish Kaballah which do not strongly support his points in the book.

Specifically regarding how to prepare yourself for a coming solar civilization the author says little. He does recommend Surya Yoga aka Surya Namaskar. But in doing so he trashes other forms of yoga specifically Hatha yoga. This shows that he did not really understand the internal process that occurs in Hatha yoga beyond the outward asanas that are done.

At times he jumps from the topic of the Sun being conscious to God being the center of your being without giving the reader an adequate frame of reference. In fact there are alot of words in this book, he liked to talk for sure, but these words, through wide in scope and verbose, often do not support the central thesis. To me there are three things that indicate the presence of spiritual mastery.

The first indicator is divine presence. The person conveys a sense of great presence or consciousness in just who they are. The second indicator is a sense of timeless wisdom in what the person is saying.

Short of mentioning Surya Yoga and the short bit about experimenting with colors, there is not a solid form of experiential teaching in this book. And that is where the entire treatise fails to deliver. I would have expected to hear things like: Does this have an effect on you? Meditate on the form of the glass, the color of the glass when it is shining, and on the color patterns on what that light hits. You see, we will never easily, arrive at a solar civilization unless you give people exercises and experiences of what a relationship with the sun really is.

There is a little of that in this book. But not enough to fullfill the promise in the title. If you were looking for something from a technical angle then you should check out Paolo Soleri. Delightful reading, this book brings the teachings the way it needs to be: This is an uplifting revelation concerning our dynamic Sun and its physical-emotional impact on us and over everything else on this planet. The author, if he were living from the 6th to the 18th century, would have been burned at the stake for daring publishing such strong and life changing spiritual facts regarding Ra, and its positive spiritual influence on humans, Flora, Fauna, and everything else on Earth, for sure.

Today after reading Aivanhov book, and for the first time of my several exposures to the sunlight, I felt genuinely in high spirits. In my morning solar meditations I felt the Sun through its warm sunlight was beaming with divine illumination letting me understand that harmony is real and peace the only power everywhere.
