Spanish All-in-One For Dummies. Getting Started with Spanish: We are loving this program. We homeschool and my DD that is 12 is using this program by herself. It is very user friendly with almost no teacher help after I set it up. We are using the kindle version along with the audio.
I downloaded the audio files onto her computer and she reads the lessons on her iPad. I am doing it along side her and it is really easy to learn. I love the short lessons and so does she. Thanks for a great product.

My daughter is using this for home school and has already developed a basic grasp of elementary Spanish from using this workbook in conjunction with flashcards. Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish: A Creative and Proven Approach. I took Spanish in high school and nearly failed. As an adult, I've been trying to learn Spanish for 7 years. Nothing has ever worked for me until this book.
I initially purchased this book for my Kindle in and ended up buying a physical copy as well. Fast forward to where I took a trip to Mexico City with some friends. I didn't really study or prepare as I should have.
Spanish Learning
I didn't practice at all. And yet I was still able to cobble together sentences thanks to what this book taught me. Not just "one beer, please" and "where is the bathroom? Really good review of grammar. Goes into quite a bit of detail and there are plenty of drills. When I studied at an immersion school in Mexico for a few weeks, this and its partner verb book were the only English books that they recommended.
I'm taking Spanish for beginners and this is the text we use in class. Behind the Wheel - Spanish 1. I have purchased and used three different beginning level Spanish audio programs: All three are effective at teaching conversational Spanish at a basic level of fluency. Each Pimsleur lesson begins with a short conversation which is then dissected and the listener is guided through everything that was said, one word or phrase at a time, returning to those same words and phrases several times throughout that lesson.
I'd rather have the target words and phrases presented to me at the start of each lesson, minus the conversation. I'd rather learn one word or phrase at a time, not one conversation at a time. And I don't like having to guess at meanings before I hear the words translated for me. Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish: A Creative and Proven Approach. Okay, I will jump into this right away and say that she takes an unorthodox approach from the vast majority of Spanish learning texts and she states this early on , but I use her book much more than the other books I have on learning Spanish. I am somewhat of an old fart and do not believe that everyone can learn in the same way and certainly not like we did as a child.

Madrigal takes a different approach and to me it make sense when you consider what made me at least and perhaps a lot of Spanish learners stumble so much when first trying to converse with others. I will state what her approach was and why I think she did so. First she starts out with chapters illustrating how familiar we are with hundreds if not thousands of Spanish words and how Learn in Your Car: Spanish, the Complete Language Course. I am posting the same review under both titles. I have both sets of CD's. They are VERY different from each other.
Which you chose depends on your goals. If you are leaving for a Spanish-speaking country within one month, and if you want to be able to get by and ask "At what time does the last bus leave for the beach? If you have never taken any Spanish in school and do not even know what it means to "congugate a verb", then buy Learn Spanish Like Crazy. If you know the very basics, and want to build your vocabulary quickly, like for a vacation, buy Spanish in your Car. If you want a supplement to a Spanish class you are taking or about It was a very good starter book.
It works very well with a beginner Spanish class taught with an actual live instructor "In Person".

I would recommend this book for those of you who are just starting out in your new language transition. This series is a great way to start learning spanish. It's put together well and flows nicely.
The narrator and voice talent move at a slow pace and do not surprise you with new words, conjugations, etc. There is no minimum age to enroll. Learn Spanish
This book is available for purchase at CLI. You should also bring along writing utensils, a notebook, and a Spanish dictionary. Cabarete has a few bookstores where you can buy any supplies you forget. While you are studying at CLI, you will have free access to our library. In your Enrollment Form you must indicate your approximate level and you will take a placement test created by CLI either prior to or upon arrival.
Also, several internet and call centers are located throughout Cabarete. Cellular service Orange and Claro is also available in Cabarete. Please ask your cellular company about international service.
