Snacks are the downfall of every dieter is our house. I made the corn chips and boy were they good. I can't wait to make the Apples in a Crock pot. My husband loves backed Apples and these will taste wonderful and be good for him instead of Apple Pie which is one of his favorites. I'm also going to make the Magnificent Brownies for the grandchildren. They sound divine and also better for them than regular brownies. They should learn how to eat better.
I highly recommend this book for good and good for you recipes. Now we can snack and not feel guilty. I really like having recipes like the ones in this book that allow you to make your own healthy snacks using fresh ingredients. I have made it a goal to eliminate foods that have additives and preservatives in them from our diet.
It is just plain healthier and less expensive. The Easy Dip looks great and is full of fresh veggies. The Homemade Chicken Nuggets look delicious and easy to prepare. Remember that TV commercial about chicken nuggets that said "Parts is parts"? Which one would you rather serve? The Baked Apples in a Crock Pot looks so good and I can just imagine how the house will smell while it is cooking.

I am so glad I found this book. It is always a challenge finding healthy new and interesting recipes and this book is full of good ones. I am especially happy to find an incredible chicken nugget recipe that isn't terrible for you. My youngest practically lives on nuggets so I can't wait to try them. In the meantime, I'm heading into my kitchen to make myself a Great Autumn Smoothie to enjoy this cool fall afternoon. I highly recommend this cookbook to anyone looking for creative ways to get snack a little healthier.
Great cookbook with scrumptious recipes. I can say that I would try each and every recipe, they are that good. Each recipe makes a lighter or lower fat version of your more "sinful" dishes. Also great for cocktail or dessert parties. I'm going to whip up a bunch for my upcoming super bowl party.
