Thanks to Edith's forgiving and patient ways they have put their difficulties behind them and their lives seem on in good period after First World War xD. The cover was the one that initially attracted me and then after I read the blurb on the back, I was sold. It sounded interesting, looked interesting, so surely I thought , it can only be a good read, right? I mist say I stared it and , although it was too early on to make a judgement, after about 10 pages or so I was kind of already bored of it Of course I didn't give up, and , besides the surprising number of times "mates" is used in dialogue, this book quickly got interesting.

The captivating story kept me wanting to read more and as I got deeper so did my love for this book. I was incredibly surprised and in a good way! It completely met my expectations and I was kind of sad when I finished reading this in two days. But I was okay with that because, unlike most of my favourite books, it doesn't leave me with wanting to know what happens next.

The end is perfect and there is no sign of a cliffhanger, of course, I'd love a sequel but the story was already told so there wouldn't be much to it, unfortunately. Still, this was a fun read and , as others said, this definitely don't be my last read form Cathy Hopkins. Really fun,girly and perfect in every way! Give it a try and I'm sure you'll love it.. This book falls into the category of 'a book written in '. This category was interesting for me because new literature of modern times is interesting and easy to relate to.

Love at Second Sight

This book taught me that sometimes if you look too closely at things you you miss what's right before your eyes. In this novel Jo the protagon I decided to read 'Love at second sight' as the cover caught my eye, it was in the recommended section in the library and I am a huge fan of chick flicks and romance novels.

In this novel Jo the protagonist is continuously on a journey with the help of her friends to find the love of her life. They search too much that they walk right past the guy she is destined to be with. I believe that if we look at the small details we will miss he bigger picture and Jo did this exactly.

A character in this book that was interesting to me was Jo. I believe she was too optimistic in the beginning and deep down knew something big would happen to her in the near future. I would say she gets push around by her friends a lot but I love how she is different to them. She has different interests and doesn't mind being herself. I think this is admirable in a character and it sends out a good message to the readers. I like history a lot so with that aspect I liked the book. However, overall I felt that it was a good read and I'm glad I read it. I would recommend this book to people who are interested in the past and a bit of romance too: Oct 28, Aarushi rated it really liked it.

Love at Second Sight by Cathy Hopkins

The first time I saw this book it was truly love at first sight. It was because of its cover that I decided to read it and I was not at all disappointed. Normally I would hate a book iwhich has more than one love interest but that was not the case with this book. It had a nice plot and I loved Jo too but I can't say the same about Ben too. I know that they were destined to be with each other and all but in my opinion the author should have described Ben more thoroughly. I also felt bad for Owen The first time I saw this book it was truly love at first sight. I also felt bad for Owen 'cause he was really a nice guy.

I loved the London setting, especially the rich imagery of Highgate Cemetery. El libro en si es entretenido pero el final es malisimo. Ambos han renacido para volver a encontrarse. Jo no acepta que esto pueda ser cierto. Su mente racional cree que todo es un gran fraude. En Esos ojos la protagonista transita un mundo fascinante: Bueno, ahora hablemos delos personajes principales e importantes en la historia: Si son tan Sextosentidosas como yo desde un principio empezaran a atar cabos y encontraran "Esos Ojos" mucho antes que Jo.

Sin duda lo recomiendo. Amor verdadero, amor seguro, amor loco, amor por el chocolate, el amor por los amigos, cientos de variedades de amor y lo que siento por Owen anda entre alguno de esos. When I was younger I used to really love this book but rereading I've had some issues with it. Although I love the concept it's all very fast moving, and I don't think all the aspects were explored as much as they could have been.
