How is not in the range? I need to look into the check Minecraft PropertyInterger is doing to figure out why this is failing. To add even more confusion it always succeeds when the rendering engine fetches the same information. Why doesn't the client loose the info on subsequent access like the server does?

I planned on rewriting most of the mod to add more bed styles and customization anyway, so rather then find a hacky workaround I'll just make that a higher priority in my todo list. The only workaround I can currently offer is to change to a different spread every time you sleep or only use Decorative Spread and lower. Yep, looks like the spread rejection bug is back.

Wonder if I forgot to port the fix forward. The spread pops off, and is flung randomly like Minecraft like to do sometimes, it shouldn't have gone far provided it wasn't too long ago and despawned. After a quick debug I see the server isn't calling the code anymore, I'll have to see what changed to cause this.

When I checked this and the server wasn't calling onItemUse. But I was also having issues with IntelliJ and after spending several hours with support it was determined to be a fault in my OS likely a fault during an update.
