The challenges of each day made for an exiting atmosphere where all felt a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. While both are accomplished and energetic, the former was a more hands on manager. For more than 18 years he established a work place culture that allowed for freeness of speech on many issues although the final decision word rest with him. With the advent of the recent leadership team the sense of what direction the company was taking became somewhat obscured. However, in time a culture of subtle Intimidation had now envelope the agency under the behind the scenes direction of the CEO with the support of his "Leadership Team".

At SOL, you are assigned cases where you can make your own hours. You submit reports when meeting face to face and submit reports monthly to DCS. Everyone at SOL worked together and if you needed assistance with a client, they were there to assist you. A good work place. This job is wonderful. I love working with the clients and staff. Ive work here for 10 plus years. A typical day at work could be good or bad.

It depends on a lot of factors the staff or the clients having a good day. I have learn a lot from the company. By my hard work I was move into management position. The hardest part of the job is dealing with clients behaviors. The most enjoyable part is taking care of the clients and staff.

I love this job. Laid back work environment, fun clients, not a lot of heavy lifting.

Pay isn't great but what can you expect with how low stress it is? Stuff can get to you from time to time but never so much that you're getting all depressed at home or some stuff like that.

Its a great company and Id go back in a heart beat. Was this review helpful? Everyday my job was to teach daily living skills to adults with mental disabilities. How to cook, set a table, clean, bath, shop, and also assist in giving meds. Life is very well orginized. I would recommend this job to people because the Staff and clients are cooperative and the Staff is helpful in all situation faced within the work hour you're with them. Management is inept and has no idea how to treat people. Work place is not only hostile it is abusive!!

There is no leadership and no vision and management blames everyone else. It is a horrible place to work.

They also neglect and take advantage of seniors!!! I enjoy helping others. A typical day at work is assisting those under my care with daily activities. I learned how diverse individuals are. Management was not understanding when conflict with client. Workplace culture is diverse. The hardest part of the job was getting attacked by the client. The most enjoyable part of the job is helping others. A typical day was getting the residents up, dressed, and ready for medications and breakfast. We also attended a day program with the residents where the performed daily academic and vocational objectives.

Everyday was to just assist the residents as needed. While working for Life I did learn some sign language. The coworkers I worked with where awesome.
