The boys find themselves fighting evil in alleys, trolls in bars, and dragons in FairyLand and trying to scrub the sparkle off after a battle with vicious fae in the hall of the fairy queen. All that and vampires, too. The vampire count in Charlotte is at least three. As far as the unhappy boys are concerned, anything more than two is a crowd not to be tolerated.

While tracking down the killer and the competition, they encounter coeds, booby traps not related to the coeds , and a hirsute bounty hunter with a moon fetish and a bad attitude. To catch the killer, Jimmy will have to survive a dive headfirst into the great unwashed horde of Dorkdom game night at the local comic shop.

In the fourth installment of The Black Knight Chronicles, Jimmy Black is having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day and a darned fine pity party, serving the finest alcohol, when a call from his not-quite-girlfriend-cop forces him to sober up and stare at jawbones. All clues lead through the veil of Faerieland to the legendary Goblin's Market, a magical bazaar where anything is available--for a price.

The boys can barely stay out of trouble in Charlotte. As fresh meat at The Market, they'll be lucky to survive the day. In some cases, as with Chronicles of Narnia , disagreements about order necessitate the creation of more than one series.

A good rule of thumb is that series have a conventional name and are intentional creations , on the part of the author or publisher. For now, avoid forcing the issue with mere "lists" of works possessing an arbitrary shared characteristic, such as relating to a particular place. Avoid series that cross authors, unless the authors were or became aware of the series identification eg. Also avoid publisher series, unless the publisher has a true monopoly over the "works" in question.

If you have not read the Black Knight Chronicles and it is a series I recommend then this story gives you a perfect taster. This is painful for someone as long winded as me. It does everything an introduction should do. You get to meet the three main characters getting a basic sense of who they are, what they do and how they interact with each other.

You also get some neat exploration of the world — the various creatures are hinted at, some of their contacts are touched on without taking up an undue amount of space or time.     4. Although a very short story Movie Knight is still a must for fans of John Hartness. Greg, Jimmy, and Sabrina have an action packed night fighting a demon in the nursery of a hospital. The little tidbit of info revealed about Sabrina led to some Jimmy's usual foot in mouth wit.

    Black Knight Chronicles

    Love this short, humours and all out laughs story.
