Keighley Date of Publication: For instance, there are sad love poems, romantic love poems, lost love poems, love poems for him, love poems for her, and so on. The good thing about love poems is that they are easy for people to understand and relate to.
Almost everyone has been in love at some point in their life — whether they were loved back or not. The feeling of love is intoxicating, which is why it is such a popular topic for poetry. Sometimes, poems about love will just come to you so naturally, while other times you may have to really think about just what you want to say. This could be determined by your mood or the current situation you are going through.
If you are discovering a new love, writing a love poem will be easier than ever. That is because new love brings out all of the best feelings and emotions. Last week, I wrote a few haiku poems about love. This week I will share another poem that I wrote. I mean, I still love him dearly, but those first months and years are when your senses are so heightened.
I hope you enjoy reading it! How is it that your very presence, can put a smile upon my face?
The Bould Bucaneers:
How is it that a slight touch of your hand can make my heart race? How is it that your embrace makes me forget I was ever alone? How is it that a wink from you, can make me tremble within? How is it that your crooked smile, can almost do me in? How is it that laying by your side, can make me feel so safe? How is it that being within your arms, is now my favorite place? When it comes to poetry, more people seek out love poems on the internet than any other type of poetry.
Random Rhymes and Rambles (Paperback)
According to Wordtracker , there are more than , searches for love poems every month. The reason for their popularity is that love is one of the strongest emotions there is. People love to write about, sing about, read about, and talk about love. If you think about it, a love song is simply a love poem paired with music. If you are a writer, you can really capitalize on this — especially if you like to write about love and romance.

I prefer to write poems, and I have written quite a few love poems over the years. When I write a love poem, I try to write about emotions that people can relate to. I like to focus on senses like touch, smell, and sound. This puts the reader in the moment. Perhaps it brings back feelings from an old love or makes them long for that type of love in the future.
It may even spark something in a relationship that has gone stale. My goal is to always make my reader feel something. Otherwise, what is the point in writing? A haiku is simply a three line poem that has five syllables in its first and third line and seven syllables in the middle line. There are so many other types of love poems that you can write besides the haiku. Lyric poems or ballads are basically what love songs are. The key is to find your own personal style of poetry and then build from there.
I have been writing poems since I was a child. Over the years, I have written many different forms of poetry about many different topics. If you are interested in writing poetry, you might want to consider all of the different types there are. I tend to be drawn more toward lyric poetry. This form of poetry involves rhyming and expressing feelings— much like song lyrics.
This is simply not true. You do not have to be a song writer or a wordsmith to be a poet. The haiku is an example of that. This is one of the great forms of poetry that many people love to read and is also fun to write. A haiku is a poem that consists of 3 lines. The first line is five syllables, the second line is seven syllables, and the third line is five syllables again. The haiku originated in Japan, but is now popular all over the world. Sometimes a haiku will be about nature, sometimes it will be about feelings or emotions.
The point of the haiku is to make a big statement in just a few words. So, this is not the most creative poem ever written, but it can put the reader in that place in time. When you read a haiku like this one, you may think of the peacefulness of the day coming to an end or the eagerness to relax. The point is, anyone can be a poet.

I will be writing more about the different forms of poetry in later posts, so stay tuned! It has been six months today since I lost my beloved mother. It has been a roller coaster of emotions. That is what I am writing about today. I wrote a poem about the loss of my mother and how I am feeling six months later. I think everyone who has ever lost anyone close to them will be able to relate to this poem.
Does that make sense? Anyway, I wrote this poem about the loss of my mother in the wee hours of the morning. It sums up how impossible it seems to think that she is never coming back.

As I stated in my last post, lately, I have been focusing on being more positive. I think it is important to be positive if you truly want to transform your life — and I do! I have really enjoyed listening to these podcasts by Jake Ducey on my way to work. I have also been reading some spiritual devotionals and repeating positive affirmations as much as I can. It has helped me a lot. That is why I was led to write a feel good poem this week.
I got up really early Sunday morning. Everyone in the house was sleeping, so, I had the rare opportunity to enjoy some alone time. It felt so peaceful, and I was in a good mood, so I wrote a poem. I hope you all like it, and I hope it makes you feel good — I mean, I did call it a feel good poem! You can hear all the church bells ringing. This week I have been focusing on being more positive. I have been in a funk for a while and decided it was time to change it. Just these two simple things have helped me have a better week.
I plan to stick with this, but know there will still be bad days ahead. In light of this, I decided to share a positive poem. I hope you enjoy reading this positive poem as much as I enjoyed writing it. No negative words will I say, No discouragement will I moan. I choose to laugh a lot today, No matter what tests I may face.
