Staffordshire University had a large campus in the east of the town and focuses heavily on computing, engineering and media technologies film, music and computer games.
It also runs teacher training courses. The university has 2 halls of residence opposite the campus, the smaller Yarlet with 51 rooms and the larger Stafford Court with Rooms.
