I have struggled practicing the principles taught to me with all sincerity. And I could not find a book that explains God's will with clarity and without contradictions. One book I found close enough was Friesen's.
But then I felt there were few things missing. This book I should say is the best I could find. Although it is written by two different authors as some reviews have noted, it is easy to read and the principles come out with clarity. I would strongly recommend this book. This is a solid theological view of God's Will.
It is not a 'feel good' type of writing but rather an in depth look at what is God's will as outlined in the Bible and then what do we do to follow what we know. I found it refreshing and challenging. One person found this helpful.
This is a nice, balanced, view of determining God's will for one's life using the Puritan tradition. The book starts with Psalm 23 and shows how God wants to guide us and protect us. The authors then present the problems with the current models in different evangelical camps and present the traditional and hopefully biblical model. The book seems a little dry and a little repetitive because they summarize their views so much before they proceed with the next step. However, the book is very readable and practical.
I'm not sure why I'm not giving it 5 stars.
God's Will: Finding Guidance for Everyday Decisions

I like reading and love this book. It answers many questions that I have about what God has in store for me and my life. I would reccommend this book to anyone with that question.
When ever I see the words, God's Will, it gets my attention. This book is written with authority and accuracy from scripture. Mankind will never learn everything as God is training us for the next level. Everyday people are faced with decisions--some big, some small.
