John Jordan is one character that I hope the books keep going on about. My pleasure to review this ARC or any other. Thanks, the pleasure is all mine. Lister creates full-fledged characters reader's either love or hate! Lots adding character John Jordan is amazing alternating between his prison chaplin image and his investigator persona.

I can usually pick up characters in the middle of a series and enjoy the story, but it wasn't the case this time. The mystery got solved and the wrongly jailed man was released.

Reward Yourself

Too many characters with too much baggage and connections I wasn't clear on made following the story hard for me. If I read another book in this series, I will make sure it is number 1, not number 14! May 14, LANell rated it it was amazing. Reading this book was like welcoming an old friend.

Surprise ending The story started slow, going all directions. The main story was side tracked a lot. Jan 01, Kati rated it it was ok. I thought this book was awful. I don't know why I finished it. Just to find out who did it I guess. There was way too much profanity. The writing was so choppy there was no flow to it. Excellent First book I've read on this series, so some things weren't clear, but did not take away from this great book. Suspense until the very last page. Want to read more in this series. Semi incest and intrigue Well written book ended drama with an appetizer for the next instalment. The main character is an endearing mix of a soothing sole and a driven but flawed determinist. His characters appear so real and true to life, that they seem to be people you are acquainted with I'll continue to follow the life of John and Anna Jordan.

Characters hard to follow for their back story, not that interesting, don't even care about the back story, and I have read this author before. Dec 07, Meb Bryant rated it it was amazing. Blood Betrayal has it all I enjoy reading Michael Lister, especially his informative narratives. Finally, the main character, John Jordan and his longtime love, Anna, have a chance of a happy life. Aug 03, Prescottl rated it really liked it. Entertaining story about clearing a convicted murderer. This novel had more than the usual number of characters and it was harder to keep track of them all, but overall this was a typically good Lister mystery.
