Yes, he's the typical HP alpha male who thinks everyone should simply bow to his commands but when he finds out that he is a father, he throws himself into taking care of his son with enthusiasm and determination. He feeds him, changes his diapers, gives him baths, etc. Ramon is simply in love with his son from first sight. He also tries his best to see where Lauren is coming from when she tells him that giving up her career to become a full-time wife and mom is not something she is comfortable with. He tried arguing with her about it but when he realized that she was serious, he did his best to find a compromise that would make them both happy.

Ramon is not a complete jerk, which is what really makes him wonderful.

He's arrogant but he's not cruel or mean. He doesn't try to "punish" Lauren for keeping his son from him. Instead, he tries to build a relationship with her based upon his strong belief that a child needs both his mother and father to grow up happy and healthy. There was some drama stemming from the fact that Lauren has trust issues but these two are solid and I just love how their relationship played out.

They're both strangely mature for such damaged and stubborn people, always putting their son first while trying to work out the mechanics of their own relationship. They're both quick to apologize, which was refreshing, and this made any possibility for a prolong angst fest nil. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes their characters strong and compassionate, who are willing to make sacrifices but also acknowledge their own needs while seeking a good compromise between life and love.

But here is was not real solid and even worse in my opinion, the heroine is an older, well educated, gainfully employed at a good job, woman. She should have known better. I generally give an 18 year old making a bad decision a bit of a pass because that's just a mixed up kid making a bad decision but that wasn't the case here. Other than that standa Run of the mill secret baby story with no real surprises.

I never quite liked this novel, there was always something holding it back. The emotions didn't seem real. Honestly, it was kind of messed up. It felt super bland. Feb 01, Laura's Book Addiction rated it really liked it. Jul 30, Dianne rated it really liked it. Typical Harlequin romance but I'm a sucker for cheesy romances like these. One of my favorites Love can happen like a bolt of lightning or come on easily like a breath of fresh air. I'm this case, I think it was a little of both. There were so many opposites of the same coin in this story.

It was maddening in some parts, but blissful in others. I consider it a good read. May 18, Nikki rated it it was ok. Okay the hero in this needed to calm the heck down. Especially in the end. He blamed the heroine for everything!

Trust is needed for a marriage to work. Look forward to reading more by this author. Great Loved this book especially the characters , the author gave us strong individuals that we could relate to a beautiful romance!! I really enjoyed this book and the characters.
