Snaps for social
The photographs fit right in with her shots of wedge-tailed eagles, Major Mitchell cockatoos, and ringneck parrots. In between the avian close-ups are snaps of rocky desert ranges, cattle, motorbikes and much more. The keen photographer said she received messages from all over the world asking about her camera equipment and what happens on a remote property in Australia.
As well as her renowned snapshots of birds and landscapes, Ms Hayes also captures the other side of the rural lifestyle.
Ms Hayes said when she posted photos of dead feral camels that she had shot recently, there was a lot of backlash. Camels are classed as a pest, and with an abundance of them in central Australia, pastoralists are required to control numbers on their properties. Ms Hayes said even though the photographs showed what station life was truly like, the post lost her 5, followers in one fell swoop.

Straw consists of the stalks and leaves of crops that remain once the seed has been threshed out. Oat straw is probably the most valuable, followed by barley. The relatively low nutritional value limits its inclusion level.
Small grain straw should not be used in rations for dairy cows. With the necessary supplementation, straw can be used to a limited extent in the feeding of replacement heifers. There is seldom a need to mill ammoniated straw.
