Cedar Hollow
Quiet, excellent food try the spinach salad and very good service. Worst dinner I have experienced in a long time. My salad looked like it was put together by a 10 year old. My main dish made me sick later. The waiter was not helpful and rushed. He did not look out for his patrons. Never go back again. The owner or manager looked worried all the time.
Draft beer se toon was terrible. My date was also sick from the food. We hadn't been back in several years but still a very good choice. Were there on Thanksgiving day and although the place was quite busy the food and service were excellent. No rush to get us out on a busy day. Delicious 4 course Thanksgiving dinner Great service and nice wine selection to compliment the dinner. Nice crowd too with a friendly bar scene. Went for a late lunch on Thanksgiving. We had the choice of the holiday meal or to order off the full menu. All the food was excellent.
Our server was outstanding. I had Kansas City steak and their lobster and scallop dish. Steak was cooked as prepared. We had a party of 5 and needed handicap accommodations, and they were very gracious and helpful from start to finish. The restaurant felt vibrant and live music was about to start, my husband and I wish we could have stayed as it was a great atmosphere. The food was surprisingly good, although lacking any credible vegetarian selection for one of my party. Service was slow, but they were missing a server they said. But the real problem was the loud music associated with a game in the bar area, which is adjacent to the dining room.
It began about half way through our meal and was frankly intolerable. This restaurant has to decide whether it wants to be a sports bar or offer fine and relatively quiet dining. It clearly can't do both. Unfortunately I don't intend to go back to find out what they decided. Went with friends - it's local and so, so good! Our waiter Joe has been a fixture there for awhile - he's awesome! I had the shrimp and crab tower - it was delicious! My husband had the duck - his go to - and was not disappointed.

The others got either chicken parm or the rib eye sandwich - all totally raved about their meals. Service was terrific and food was very good. It seemed a bit expensive but perhaps it had been awhile since I had eaten at such a welcoming place. I brought clients here from San Diego. They ordered the Rib Eye and loved it. Quiet Dining room but a lively bar.
Nicely decorated-Its a versatile restaurant. Always enjoy dining here. Wonderful options on the menu. Always enjoy eating at the bar or the front porch. Sometimes we are celebrating a birthday, other times just a casual meal. So nice to have this in the neighborhood. I went here for my birthday. I was very disappointed. I had emailed ahead due to my gluten allergy.

I was told they did not have a gluten free menu but the chef would accommodate. The two items I wanted to order could not be modified. I ended up eating a wedge. The service was good. This place has been a steadfast and delicious respite from the trendy places that keep cropping up. Food is gourmet quality, drinks are equality delightful and potent. Keep up the great work!! Had a wonderful time as always!! Food, service and setting was wonderful. This place is hit or miss. Nice and friendly staff. My wife and I went to the Cedar Hollow in on the recommendation of friends.
We were greeted heartily when we arrived and were well attended by Joe, our waiter. The food was exceptional and the price more than reasonable. We are going to make this a regular dinner spot. A pleasant visit to Cedar Hollow, though not our first time. We had the pleasure of being served by the new bartender, who was very attentive. Food was very good and plentiful as always the mushroom bisque is amazing.
Only issue we encountered was a rather turse hostess who intially refused to check us in via open table because of our desire to dine at the bar. She eventually did but not without a fuss. We sat in a quiet corner allowing us to carry on a business conversation easily. Veal dish was not cooked to medium Swordfish was okay but the rice cake was still frozen on inside. We have been to Cedar Hollow Inn on many occasions. This time did not disappoint. The food and service were excellent.
It is a cozy fun place. Service was solid and the location for our table was perfect for having a business discussion; quiet, good distance between tables, and the temperature was comfortable. The service was very slow and our waiter explained that they were understaffed. Our server is always welcoming. The special fish dishes were perfect. We love that it is right around the corner and there is always a table.
Food was excellent, Joe was great, and overall it was just a great dining experience. Our second time there and certainly will not be our last! Food and service is always off the charts. Five friends got together recently for dinner. Everyone enjoyed their menu choices very much. Our server was outstanding and very accommodating. We dined outside so the noise level was a little elevated but still OK.
Such a pleasant gem in Malvern.

The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place for a cute date night or any time of day! Outdoor seating is smaller but cute and intimate. They should probably do away with brunch, at least if you order breakfast food. It was almost inedible! Really pleased at how outstanding the food was. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem!
