Said yeah but kids are only allowed to 9PM. No prob that gave us nearly 2 hours. We easily stayed 30 minutes after finishing eating because The place seems unorganized. I had southwest egg rolls. Good, but, had black beans in them. Waitress was named Dolly. She was very unfriendly. We seemed to bother her by being there. She got my order wrong and said she wotuld find out what happened and never did. My friend ordered a coke and it had lemonade in it and she We had heard good things so we decided to give it a try. The service was good and the staff was very attentive but it was contusing as to who our server actually was.
The food was not very good. The fish and chips were We stopped in with another couple to see what this place was like. The other couple had a tenderloin and he Been there several times at different times and for various occasions and have always enjoyed the restaurant, location and food The food is good, just hard to know who is your waiter, or waitress.
It gets confusing for there is know one person sign to a table. The noise level is very high, TV or muisc is to loud. So don't think you will be This was our second visit to this location and doubt if there will be a third. The food is satisfactory but might I recommend that the wait staff be assigned tables! We had a constant flow of staff asking if we need another drink, if The food was ok. Good selection of local beers.
I had the Italian sausage sandwich, which was ok but would order something different next time. The big screen TVs and sound system were good for watching sports and listening to music. And the people very nice. We had a wonderful time. The view of the bayou behind the stage is awesome. I will go back. We are thrilled to hear of your afternoon of fun with us! We take pride in our staff's, as well as our customers', natural ability to make everyone feel so welcomed! If you want to experience local cajun culture and a wonderful time listening to Zydeco Music you have got to visit Whiskey River.
Located on the Levee in Henderson, you will experience some of South Louisiana's best zydeco music and a wonderful afternoon of dancing Thank you for taking time to share your review with us Amber!
We are so grateful to have you in our Whiskey River family as long as we have, and are even more proud of the accomplishments you have made in that time! We ate burgers from the van outside before joining mostly local folk drinking beer and dancing to a band playing fast zydeco and cajun music in this ramshackle bar and hall on the edge of the Atchafalaya swamp on a Sunday afternoon.
We are glad you took a chance on seeing what we are all about! We hope to have you join us again soon!
Wish I could give this five stars, but, smoking inside and cat urine? The band was so good though that we stayed for quite a while. Thank you for taking time to review our venue. We apologize for your experience with those "uncomfortable smells". At the time, we were housing quite a few less fortunate cats.
