Point of Origin (Tru Exceptions - Christian Romantic Suspense Book 3)
It is amazing how the author is NOT wordy yet precisely describes scenes, actions and character vibes. The reader knows that much of the action is probably impossible but the reader this reader anyway doesn't care and loves the story. There are no sex scenes or bad language and beginning with the first book the narrative gradually builds an understanding that life can only be understood with a knowledge of God and His providence. I read this one through in one sitting.
Point of Origin (Tru Exceptions #3) by Amanda Tru
Don't think the characters were too well developed, but the story started with enough action to keep you reading and escalated all the way to the end. I enjoyed it enough for the whole five stars, and there isn't anything embarrassing to worry a discriminating reader. I don't usually do book reports, so this may have spoilers. I was able to finish it, so it was pretty good, just a bit slow, and the rest of this review is probably just personal grumpiness.
The premise was not totally new bomb in an innocent's suitcase , but it was well presented. The heroine was a strong, capable woman. The hero was a strong, silent man who refused to acknowledge that he liked kissing her - it was all in the line of duty. The dialogue was a little bit stilted sort of like this is , and plot development was a bit thin, with several things left unexplained.
How come there were so many terrorists? Why didn't any of them have an accent? Where did the maid come from, and why? Isn't it lucky the heroine knew how to shoot so well? Where were the cops? The entire situation in the book was resolved in slightly more than 24 hours, it took me a lot longer to read it. I just couldn't get into the book; it took me three or four tries to finish it. I usually don't read a lot of suspense books, but this one got my attention, so I decided to try it out.
From the first chapter to the almost the end, it was action packed. A bomb ended up in Rachel's suitcase, who is on a weekend get a way to New York. She meets Dawson, who works for homeland security, while trying to get her bag from Lost and Found area at the airport. Once they realize there is a bomb in Rachel's suitcase, they are involved in a car wreck, a shooting, a helicopter ride, and some other adventures while trying to figure out what to do with this bomb. The bad guys are always right behind them trying to recover this bomb.
Can homeland security get the figured out in time or will it detonate and kill them? I enjoyed the book, because it was fast paced, action packed. I thought the ending was a little dry, but overall a good book. I will keep up with this author and series. I read all three books in the series in a couple of days.
This is the first of 3 books. If you like complex characters, twists in the plots, and full of surprises, this is a great fast read, very enjoyable.

Highly unlikely story for some parts, but enjoyable none the less. I love the "kick butt and take names" type of character the main character becomes. A ranch girl specially trained by her father who was in the military special forces, finds herself in the middle of a homeland security investigation, and becomes a valuable asset to the team. Can't give any more, but read it to find out what happens. The last book in the series, Point of Origin, ties all 3 stories together to make it all make sense. It threw me off guard, with surprise ending.

After loving him for 6 months, is it all a sham? Does he really love her or was she just an asset for the terrorists case. Good writing, and a nice Christina touch, without pushy. This book kept me engaged and it was thoroughly enjoyable. While not the most complex of plots, it still had a few twists and turns. Great read I got a new kindle and was searching for books to download and I glad I found this series , I find reading not easy but this series I couldn't put down what a great read.
