Mama’s Boy Presidents: Why Do We Keep Electing Them?
Daddy's Boys tend to hire and promote Daddy's Girls because their personalities, approaches to management and world views mesh with their Daddy's Boy bosses.
Generally, because they are relatively pleased with themselves, Daddy's Boys and Daddy's Girls are matter-of-fact and not overly introspective. From a management perspective, they seek to take charge, not please. Action oriented, they speak in commands. They delegate and don't fear being usurped.

From a worldview perspective, they regard others as a mixture of good and evil to be controlled by a checks-and-balances political structure. They believe in equal opportunity, but not equal outcome. Mama's Boys and Mama's Girls — those who initially attach themselves to their mothers — are watchers.
They fear being hurt, so they keenly observe others. They are highly sensitive and introspective.

From a management perspective, they attempt to have total control; they are manipulative and not good delegators. From a worldview perspective, they believe that people are neither good nor evil, but malleable. They believe people, given a fair economic and social environment, will be satisfied and controllable. They believe in equal opportunity AND equal outcome. Seven of the last nine U. Bush were Daddy's Boys.
Why do we keep electing Mama's Boys? Because women, who comprise a voting majority, tend to want to take care of Mama's Boys.
Also, Mama's Boys are better campaigners than Daddy's Boys. Mama's Boys need — and seek — to be the center of attention, like they were with their mothers. Like most Mama's Boys, Trump is an excellent campaigner and attracts media attention. Clinton is really a Mama's Girl who pretends to be a Daddy's Girl. Because in the 20th century, only Daddy's Girls got ahead.
Mama's Boys, like Trump, and Mama's Girls, like Hillary, also have an overriding need to take care of people. Trump takes care of his family — he employs many of them — and he wants to take care of his country. Hillary, like President Obama, generally wants to take care of the world.
