I usually check the number of pages in a book, which was not available. If you have read the description segment, you have read the story. Save your money for a longer and better story. This is a nice, simple love story that has a small snafu. It takes a young child to get things back on the road to the right ending. Easy to read and very enjoyable. Stella was a sweet kind hard working young lady. She kept her promise to her Mother and dearly loved her little sister Maggie. Albert should've known as an intelligent man that the only way a child becomes so sweet is because of how they had been raised.

Another kick to the lump of a man. Enough of my feelings. This was a fantastic book written by Susannah Calloway. She is the type of writer that can get her readers to feel all of the characters emotions. I guess I'm not as sweet as Stella! The story line was a new one for me that I really enjoyed. It was a mail order bride with an interesting twist. This time I think I would kick Albert behind the knee but not hard enough to make him fall!

Some men are such big handsome lumps that it takes them along time to see the beauty, sweetness, honest, hard working loving girl in front of them. Thank goodness Albert wised up. You just have to read The Stable Bride. Stable can have two different meanings, which one will you see?

I've been married to my husband forty-four an a half years and we'll loved.

Albert will love Stella with all his heart? I enjoyed this book! It was truly a great read!

Mary was an interesting addition to the story and I wonder if she will get involved with the women who were talking so meanly about Clara in the store.

Reading this series makes me think that if men could cook they might never marry. The poor editing as this series progresses is a bit irrita Yours, mine and ours in the Old West When Harriet moves to Seattle, she leaves the mail order bride business in the hands of Elizabeth Miller, the sister of a previous mail order bride. The poor editing as this series progresses is a bit irritations. At least once, I noticed that Albert, the dad, and Robert, the son, were used interchangeably.

One of her best! The series is spectacular, the books have romance, excitement and enough drama to make them page turners. Albert needed a wife for his children so he sent for a mail order bride, what he got was a beautiful woman and two wonderful kids who would chance his world and mend his heart. Apr 27, Annette K Hernandez rated it really liked it. Two widows find love. Clara lost her husband two years ago, and one the bank is going to for close because she can't come up with the full amount. Albert lost his wife six months ago, and can't cook a thing. Him and his poor kids have been existing on jelly sandwiches.

He writes for a mail order bride, and the two combine families. Jun 08, Concetta33 rated it it was ok. The story was nice but the editing was horrid. Clara was schooling the children and the author uses the husbands name instead of the child's. I think it's pretty important for the author to be able to keep her own characters straight and even more so that her editor be able to catch it. I love the series but the editing seems to be getting worse with each book.

Feb 07, Dianne rated it liked it. This was another enjoyable addition to the Brides of Beckham series. It was a very quick read - I read it in a couple of hours. The story was very sweet and the main characters didn't face too many problems while adjusting to their new life together. I found this refreshing - a nice change from villains trying to cause death and destruction all the time. May 17, Linnea Bassin rated it really liked it.
