To me, this was one of those moments where you could see true love. He wanted to be with Sage always, but he was willing to let her walk away if that would make her happy. Joel was hired by her dad to protect her and also head of security for the hotel. Sage has already to take the job in CO and meets Joel by accident when she sees him. They both move to DO as friends and he is still her bodyguard after she finds out about her sisters. But the stalker follows. But they finally admit more after his old SEAL friend passed away.

I admire Sage and her ability to embrace her uniqueness. Her upbringing by a vegan, Mother Earth type mom has led Sage to some lifestyle choices that are quite different from the average American woman, yet she is comfortable with being different. I love that we get some insight to what makes Joel tick in this book, he has definitely earned a place of respect with me. Oct 20, Pascale rated it it was amazing. I really enjoyed this story. In his overbearing fashion, George has picked Joel for Sage as more than a bodyguard. But with the stalker resurfacing, can Joel keep Sage safe and can he accept his feelings for Sage before it's too late? Apr 24, April rated it really liked it Shelves: This is such a sweet romance. It starts of as a bit of a rewind to see events leading up to Sage coming to the hotel. I loved getting this beginning for her and Joel.

It is also interesting to see her take on events at the reading of the will. All the girls are so different and their stories are just as contrasting. This is a bodyguard falling in love with his charge trope. I am always a fan of that theme. What girl can resist a big strong protective SEAL? Sage is all mother earth, b This is such a sweet romance.

Sage is all mother earth, but she doesn't try to preach or convert. I love her whole vibe, I think she is my favorite of the sisters. Se also has premonitions, they are key to her story but done with a subtle touch. I love that she uses daily horoscopes as a cover. Joel is kind of awesome!

I love the connection he has with Sage and their whole dynamic. He has a few issues, but once he gets over them he is all about his lady. They have such a sweet relationship. Some of my favorite scenes are the self defense classes. This is a romance but it is more sweet, closed bedroom door. They do have sex but you don't get any details. It isn't quite squeaky clean because they kiss plenty and do sleep together. Sometimes I like a warm and fuzzy read instead of a hot and heavy.

The narrative is split between the two leads. This really helps put you into their heads and get a fuller story. I prefer this for my romances because I love knowing both sides of the story. The stalker plot was a little slow, it really took awhile to get the action moving in that direction. There are some predictable elements, but a couple surprises as well. For a stalker, he was pretty passive, until the end. Warning, it you are an animal lover, do not get attached to the cat!!!

It was cliche and not a happy moment for me, I feel there were other ways to express he was escalating.
