The commune French pronunciation: French communes are analogous to civil townships and incorporated municipalities in the United States and Canada, Gemeinden in Germany or comuni in Italy. The United Kingdom has no exact equivalent, as communes resemble districts in urban areas, but are closer to parishes in rural areas where districts are much larger. Communes are based on historical geographic communities or villages and are vested with significant powers to manage the populations and land of the geographic area covered.
The communes are the fourth-level administrative divisions of France. Communes vary widely in size and area, from large sprawling cities with millions of inhabitants like Paris, to small hamlets with only a handful of inhabitants. Communes typically are based on pre-existing villages and facilitate local governance. All communes have names, but not all named geographic areas or groups of people residing together are communes The following is a timeline of the history of the city of Rennes, France. Especially the big gentle dog whose loves Gilles so much. Very helpful and sympa couple. Gilles is a renaissance man who can do anything. Unforgettable boat ride with Gilles. Picnic until midnight my last night! But the real beautiful memory of my trip will be having met Gilles and Elise. Very well designed house with lovely features and decorations throughout. All worked out for an excellent stay, will consider going back in the future.
Very cosy cottage 5mn away from the town centre and all shops. Perfect for a relaxing week-weekend and good walks nearby.
We had a wonderful calm and relaxed stay. If you like the nature and are looking for quite you are just right here. The house is tiny and comfortable for a couple and the area just great for hiking and enjoying the nature.

Laurent is a great and nice host. His cat Luna is very lovely and easy to handle. We whish Laurent all the best! Laurent has warmly welcomed us with crepes, cidre and strawberry marmelade specialities of the region at his house, which is situated in the neighbouring forests of the city Plougastel-Daoulas.
He has introduced us patiently in the house's conditions. We spent two great relaxing days at his place by having breakfast on the terrace in the morning, making fire at the chimney in the evening and exploring the surrounding and the region's hot spots. I would highly recommend to stay at Laurent's house.
Anna, Laurent and Luna the cat were great hosts. The house is located in a tiny village close to Plougastel, it's relatively remote and is therefore very calm. The interior is decorated with taste, in a true "vintage" style. Do no expect luxury, the house is heated by a stove that has to be operated by the guests, there's no dishwasher, TV, etc. It' nevertheless confortable and clean, good matress. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a little quiet getaway. Thank you Anna and Laurent. The beautiful environment, cosy house and warm welcome from Laurent made our stay in France most enjoyable!
Cat and wood stove were great:
