Editorial Reviews From the Author Two weeks before Father's Day , I awoke with the inspiration to write my first eBook, focusing on the topic of fatherhood. My initial thought was to include the various reflections, poems, and words of wisdom about and from my own Dad.
Finally, since I know not everyone has had the benefit of having a wonderful Dad like I did, I decided to include a section of thoughts for current and future fathers about things to do and NOT do in order to be good fathers. Even though he left this world too soon, as a victim of lymphoma in , his influence and his legacy live on in all of us who had the privilege of knowing him and loving him, in all his various roles as a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. Sadly, my Mom also passed away, in July While we miss her, we are comforted in knowing that she has joined 'her Ben' and her heavenly Father, both of whom we suspect awaited her with open arms and Dad's trademark hugs!
Fatherly Reflections includes the author's tributes to her Dad, the tributes of others who knew him, and tributes from others about their own fathers. Fatherly Reflections also includes thought-provoking words of wisdom for current and future Dads, along with photo galleries of memories and original sketches by the author's talented twin nieces. I found it surprisingly touching, and for someone who didn't have a great relationship with my father, and who struggles to think of anyone I know who did, I found it very moving. The narrative about the author's respect for her father and the contributions from family members weave a moving story of tremendous love.
The extra sections from other contributors serve to create a feel-good read that anyone who has ever been a parent will appreciate, and anyone who misses their own father will relate to.

One person found this helpful. This is an incredibly personal collection of memories and feelings about the author's father, and yet it somehow becomes more than that. Indiana smiled ironically, remembering the fate that their enemy faced. Indiana put Marion behind him to protect her. He looked at Mutt, who was growling at their enemies.
He had to get rid of them as quickly as possible. Then, he grabbed his whip and with a quickly movement he snatched the gun away from the russian before kicked him out of the edge of the tower. Indiana turned toward his position to see how the other russian was pointing at him with his gun ready to shot him. He was too far to reach it with his whip and he had no weapons, so he was virtually defenseless in front of him. Indiana cursed in a low voice, but he knew that he always escaped from situations like that one. They will live, like always.

But he closed his eyes when he heard the shoot, thinking that his luck was on vacation that day while he waited to feel the pain in his skin. But the pain never came. He opened them in time to see how Mutt ran towards him and shielded him with his body. The breath ran out of his body when he saw Mutt with his arms extended in front of him with his eyes in blank while a trail of blood fell off the new wound of his chest.
He had no time to found out what happened to him before falling dead to the ground. Indiana looked with apprehension into his blue eyes. For the first time in his life, the great archaeologist Indiana Jones was scared. Mutt cried in pain and Indiana released him and laid him on the ground. I just wanted to protect you two It was strange for Indiana to hear the voice of that annoying brat so weak, so far away I will do as you say Indiana looked at him, horrified.
I would try to obey you but Indiana sighed and he took his chin, forcing him to look into his eyes. You have to believe, okay, kid? Do you undestand me? Marion, stop snivel and come here". I need to look at his wound, he is bleeding too much", said Indiana and Marion nodded, holding her son by his shoulders. The once insensitive professor Jones tried to convince himself that he needed to calm down a little to prevent his hands from shaking if he wanted to help his son.

Indiana refused to even think about that possibility while he tore apart the remainders of his own shirt and he began to bandage his chest tenderly, ignoring his cries of pain. He was finding difficult to breathe and Indiana noticed it. Indiana hold his face in his hand, forcing Mutt to look directly at him. I know it hurts and that you feel very bad, but you have to stay awake as long as you can, ok? Forget everything else, think that we are alone, here only are you and me, kid, fix your eyes on mine and hold on, ok?
The only ones to blame for this situation are those cursed russians, but we gave them what they deserved so stop apologizing, ok? I know that I made her suffer a lot Indiana shook his head, feeling how hard was becoming for his child to breathe. I really would have liked His breathing become almost non-existent, his eyes closed and his body became limp in his father arms. Indiana, panicking, hugged him tightly into his chest.
The pain he felt in that moment seemed unbearable, it appeared that this bullet had gone through his own heart. Why on earth was he so desesperate for that noisy brat? He was his son but he only was that for a few hours, it was impossible had taken so much affection in such a short time for anyone. Was that the paternal instinct about which he had always heard and never believed? A life without shouting Mutt had become an idea very difficult to bear for him. Ox, seeing him plunged into the panic, left aside his own pain and approached to them.
