I loved the sentence examples after each entry I think this book is best used as a companion to other study methods because you will not get conversation or verb tense practice, but it is great for vocabulary. One person found this helpful.

1001 Most Useful Spanish Words

This book was perfect for me given my familiarity with the Spanish language already. It was a good way for me to refresh my knowledge in a quick manner. In my opinion, I do not think that this book would be useful for someone who was trying to pick up Spanish words and phrases for an upcoming trip to a Spanish speaking country.

The reason I feel this way is the fact that the words chosen are not words I would find myself really using if I was trying to quickly communicate in a Spanish speaking country.

The phrases within this book were not quick conversation phrases that would allow you to piece together just enough to communicate with someone in a Spanish speaking country. All in all, I believe this book is more useful for someone that has already spent time with the Spanish language and is already familiar with the language. If you are looking for quick conversation phrases this may not be your book. Learn fluent Spanish with a proven accelerated learning system.
