I don't want to call Ab this paranoid, overreacting, wimpy eejit, because as I said, someone actually WAS after her. So much of the book seemed to be Abbie making wild leaps of logic - and having them proved right. Yet I did enjoy the book. I half expected there to not be a bad guy at the end, and to find out it was all imagination and coincidence.

I do like a book that can keep me guessing. Annoying heroine who somehow made annoying work for her. Jan 08, Sharon rated it really liked it. This was a easy book to get through but it was good. A little perditable in parts but i enjoyed it.

It is totally sexless and deathless; an innocent, easy-to-read book that I would recommend to readers from 8 to years-old; any older and the reader may be a bit bored or find the subject a little too innocuous. I would give this three stars, but what's her name got on my nerves, and I figured out the baddie before page If I can figure out the baddie, that's a problem.

What's her name just didn't make sense to me. Someone is stalking your home and breaking in, just so they can get you. You're so scared you sleep in the bathroom instead of your bedroom because your window was broken. I thought the goal was NOT to be in a vulnerable position, and to stay alive. Maybe I got it wrong. Just about everything that what's her name did was conductive to getting killed, NOT staying alive. I have to be honest, not many books make me root for the killer, but this one did. The main character did some really stupid things like sleep outside her house in a sleeping bag to wait for the killer to return.

I couldn't sympathize with the main character, she quickly became annoying, and her best friend was equally annoying. They fought so much, I wondered how they were even friends in the first place. Not one of the best or worse, the constant health food talk might get a bit too much.

Considering who the perpetrator was and the closeness they managed I'm surprised he didn't try and poison Abbbie through her health food stuff as she's the only one that eats it. Sep 14, Sally rated it liked it.
