The Education of Sebastian (The Education Series #1) (The Education of...)

I've never read anything by this author before but after reading these that will be changing. Awesome books that I'll certainly be re-reading. If I could give this more than five stars I certainly would. Received complimentary copy in return for an honest review. Mar 20, Sheena Lumsden rated it it was amazing. This book is so much more than 5 Stars The first time I read these books I loved them, they left such an impact on me that when I had the opportunity to re read them for the re-release I jumped at the chance.

These books are full of emotion, good and bad and will keep you reading until the small hours of the morning. Jane Harvey-Berrick is a remarkable writer, she takes a story and writes it from her heart and soul but more than that she makes you feel what the characters are feeling and in these books she deals with some serious issues, such as PTSD, The War, and Love between two people who want to be together but because of circumstances and ages they had to hide their relationship from everyone and ultimately pay the price.

There is so much in these books, laughter, love, emotion but also knowledge of what people have to suffer when they return from the War and what they deal with while being there. That in itself was so emotional for me to read but also remarkable to read what people do over there to keep our countries and citizens safe.

The Education of Sebastian is based on an Army Base and everyone in this book is either an officer or family member of an army personnel. He is very controlling and likes order but when he brings that into a marriage it makes everyone around him sad. I wanted him very badly' The hardest thing either of these two can do is love each other it is difficult for both of them but they do the best they can. We catch up with Caroline 10 year later, she has a career, she has a lovely home on Long Island, she is doing what she wanted to do, but is she happy? Caroline is now a freelance journalist and reports from war zones for news papers and she is amazingly good at it.

She has her own voice, her own opinion and in this book we see a very different Caroline, she is independent, she is her own person. Sebastian or Chief Hunter to be precise I was both angry and sad at them at the beginning of the second book. Sebastian has become an angry man over the years, but why???. I would never have thought that these two who loved each other so much could be so distant from each other and at odds with each other.

These two have so many unresolved issues in this book that they need to sit and discuss and eventually Caroline gives in when Sebastian asks to talk to her. As they begin to talk Sebastian opens up about his life and realizes that Caroline has got on with her life like she wanted to do, however, through their talking you can tell he wanted to know more, he wants to know if Caroline still loved him. The way Jane has described the places that Sebastian and Caroline visit is brilliant, she is so descriptive you can imagine yourself there which makes the book come alive and so real.

Jane wrote so realistically about the camps, the transport, the armour and the weapons, the atmosphere, it made you appreciate what everyone did over there for us all. Life was not easy out there for either of these two and the drama that followed was so emotional, I cried and cried yet again, no matter how many times I read these books I cry at the same point each time. What happened once Caroline got back to Kabul was devastating and emotional to say the least all I will say is that you get a real insight into people's lives after returning from these places.

This was difficult to read but so lovingly written. You really need to read them yourself to know everything for yourself but I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. I loved the new epilogue that took place three years after the original epilogue everything about it spoke volumes to me, and what was truly important……. This book and bonus chapters and epilogue area truly amazing to read.

We have been given a truly amazing book with such insight into everything that this couple have endured and into some aspects that people who have had loved ones in the war and come back from the war have to deal with. Jane Harvey-Berrick is a brilliant author whom more people should know about. Aug 10, Marie Dellis rated it it was amazing Shelves: I am so excited to read this series again. This new paperback combined edition is beautiful and now I have an excuse to reread this wonderful, heartbreaking series.

This is definitely a hidden gem and should be more talked about! Apr 27, Jo rated it it was amazing Shelves: For me this was a beautiful love story, two people who are desperately unhappy, find each other but through their circumstances are unable to be together. Caroline is lost, she has no purpose in life. Sebastian is neglected by his alcoholic parents, who only notice him when they have something horrible to say to him.

Caroline had been a young wife when she first met Sebastian — she was 21 and he was only 8. By this point Sebastian is a young man, although he clearly has never forgotten her kindness towards him. What starts as a rekindling of a friendship soon develops into something more, but not before Caroline has an inner war with her conscience.

She stuck with the plan to head to New York when her marriage ended, and is now working as a freelance reporter, covering military stories. It comes as a shock to Caroline when she is suddenly in the same room as Sebastian again, and its also clearly as much of a surprise to him too. He clearly harbours some pretty mixed feelings for Caroline, and when they first meet up again he is not the sweet young man that she fell in love with.

He has a reputation for womanising and drinking and Caroline fears that the sweet boy she fell in love with has gone forever. After a few soul baring discussions, it becomes evident why Sebastian has changed and Caroline has to work to persuade him that she never stopped loving him. As they are both in Europe and hanging around waiting permits to fly out to Afghanistan, they decide to take the road trip to Italy that they planned on taking years ago, and re-discover each other.

I love the story of this couple, I was rooting for them to get the break that they deserved. I was scared to read any further. They were both being sent to dangerous war zones, with no idea when they would see each other again, and tried not to think the unthinkable, IF they would see each other again. I loved this conclusion to their story and the bonus scenes at the end were great. I loved reading about events from the first two books through Sebastians eyes, and the extended epilogue was the perfect end to this beautiful passionate story.

The Education of Sebastian I'm going to do the review as two book as it might get confusing, and I'll probably forget what I want to write. If you can get over the fact that there is infidelity and the the male lead is quite young, then you are in for an amanzing treat. I adored forbidden love stories where they shouldn't be together but they can't keep their hands off each other no matter what the conquences might be!

I really like the character of Caroline, yes she cheats on her bully of a husba The Education of Sebastian I'm going to do the review as two book as it might get confusing, and I'll probably forget what I want to write. I really like the character of Caroline, yes she cheats on her bully of a husband but she also realises her marriage is long over, but has she the confidence to go it alone after 11years of marriage and constant put downs?

She embarks on an affair that will rock her and Sebastian worlds. The title of the book implies that it's Sebastian that gets the education, and boy he does from a young virgin to a competent lover who knows how to please a woman.

He gives Carolline the love she's craved all her life enabling her to crave a new life for herself. It's a story of love growth and finding yourself. The ending is a little abrupt and I'm really glad I've book 2 to dive straight into because I need to meet Sebastian ten years older. This is a very well written forbidden love story, I can't wait for more! The education of Caroline This book took me on one hell of a ride, my emotions were all over the place.

I fell in love, suffered heartbreak and prayed for a happily ever after. It's been ten years since the summer of their love affair, Caroline has spent this time working her way from a penniless thirty year old to a successful journalist. Relationships over those years have have been few and far between, no one measured up to Sebastian Hunter. A shocking chance meeting brings the two ex lovers back together. At first Sebastian is seething at Caro, he can't bring himself to forgive her for the life he now has.

Eventually Sebastian thaws towards Caro,he believes that their relationship will just carry on as if the last ten years didn't happen. Caroline has other ideas, Sebastian isn't the the young man she left behind, he's bitter, angry, drinks a lot and has a reputation of being a ladies man especially liking the older ladies.

While waiting to be shipped out to Afghanistan, they enjoy their down time trying to rekindle the love, but this is interrupted by news that Sebastian will go to back sooner then they first thought. Again they are fighting against being apart, will their love survive this separation? Again they have to keep their relationship a secret which leads to some hot sex in small spaces!!!

I loved Jane's description of the raging war in Afganistan, it brought to life and had me sobbing into my kindle late into the night, I can't put into words how much I enjoy this book, from the first word right down to the last it had me hooked. The love that these characters shared was phenomenal and they have become my favourite book couple. Thank you Jane for writing about a love that will never end. Epilogue and bonus scenes These were real bliss to read, hearing Sebastian voice on certain chapters brought a real depth to the story and for the first time we knew his thoughts and fears, it made me love him a little bit more!

This years must read! Buddy Read with my great friends Anasylvia , Dulce and Kat! Thank you so much, Ana Rita , for this gift! My first ebook gift! So happy and excited! View all 14 comments. Apr 30, Funzee Shu rated it it was amazing. The new cover is just Just finished re-reading this series in bundle version. Every time I read it, it feels like "the first time" for me. I love this forbidden love story between Sebastian and Caro. I even cried exactly at the same part again and again. Sebs always be my top 1st book boyfriend ever!

Love the epilogues and all the bonus chapters. Apr 27, Heather rated it it was amazing Shelves: I adored these books. Right now it has been rereleased as a set and it is the first time I have read them. I am so glad I had a chance to read them now. In their first love scene, I actually had tears running down my face. They both have been shoved down, ignored, beat on in one of their cases , bullied, hurt, held back, then they come together, each with another person who finally shows them actual love.

I was rooting for them. I wanted them to hold off for 3 months and then follow their dreams. I wanted everything to work out for them.

I hurt for them when one or both of them hurt, I smiled so big when things were going their way, I adore this book. As you can see from the blurb for The Education of Caroline, they did separate for a bit, like 10 years. Then they were both at the same training seminar for journalists going into enemy territory that is not the exact term. Sebastian was there as a marine who was a linguist, Caroline as the journalist. Sebastian was so angry with her. Understandably so until Caroline gets to give her reasoning. Even so, I would have been just as hurt as Sebastian was.

The Education of Sebastian by Jane Harvey-Berrick

Sebastian has changed from the sweet boy he was to the hardened marine that Caroline now has in front of her. Caroline is no longer the docile housewife, but has turned into the woman she wanted to be. They both really have been through so much. No matter how hurt either of them were, the chemistry between these two was still there, they still were drawn to each other. I loved this book just as much as I loved The Education of Sebastian.

I did not want to put them down. Thank you Jane Harvey-Barrick for such a beautiful story between the two. This is one of those moments where I feel honored to have read a certain book. I was given a copy of the book to facilitate this review. Apr 28, Shamika rated it it was amazing Shelves: This series will definitely be listed in my top favorites! I enjoyed every minute of it and found myself anxious to continue anytime I had to put it down. This story is about an unconventional steamy romance between Caroline and Sebastian. The fact that Sebastian is 17 years old when this affair began with Caroline who is 30, did have me a little leary.

But quickly all uneasiness is wiped away as I was caught up in their love affair and story. Caroline is stuck in an unhappy marriage with a rank This series will definitely be listed in my top favorites! Caroline is stuck in an unhappy marriage with a ranking military husband who treats her like crap. It wasn't surprising that Caroline was able to be enticed by Sebastian. It was evident that he liked her more than on a friend level. He's a nice young man who showed her attention, respect and kindness.

As these two embark on this forbidden affair, you can't help but feel the passion between them. Sebastian is only 17, but has had to deal with a crappy home life and awful parents. He is in love with Caroline and makes that known to her. As Caroline develops feelings for Sebastian, she is also having an inner struggle with doing what's right.

There are obviously great consequences for Caroline if she is caught in an affair with a minor. These two books span over many years and the first book ends at a pivotal moment for Caroline and Sebastian as their affair is discovered and they abruptly forced apart. Book two, The Education of Caroline, begins 10 years later and that summer affair is long gone, but not the memories.

Both Caroline and Sebastian are very different people. Caroline has somewhat found herself and has a developing career as a journalist that she loves. Sebastian is now a Marine who is serving his country and has experienced wars. He has an edge to him and is hardened.

He's not the person Caroline knew all those years ago. A surprise second chance meeting between these two brings out many emotions surrounding their past love affair. Seeing each other again is a shock to both. They have many issues to work out.

The Education of Sebastian & The Education of Caroline

Sebastian is angry and hurt and he feels like Caroline didn't try to find him or fight for what they had. This surprises and hurts Caroline because over the years, she has never experienced what she had with Sebastian. I felt like their personal fan, cheering them on and wishing for a happy second a chance. The way this author writes is beautiful. The passion, love, anger, along with the descriptions throughout the story were vivid. I felt them all and had a clear picture in my mind of all the scenes especially in Italy and Afghanistan.

It truly brought the story to life. Apr 08, Kim rated it really liked it Shelves: The Education of Sebastian I started to read this and I was so unsure about this book. You will read about a military wife who clearly is unhappy. She goes behind her husband back to see someone who clearly to young for her.

They have to go and hide from everyone because one she is married and two he was underage. There was one person who know and clearly was not happy with his friend. The day that Caroline was telling her husband it was over her whole world had ended and so did the book. That is where I was mad because I wanted to know what was going to happen from there. I hope book two pick up where it left off. Her marriage to David was not a marriage. She did everything for him only to be treated badly. The Education of Caroline I have to say at first I was so upset that it was 10 years later when the book had picked up at.

Then once you got over that fact the book was so emotional. You have them back together again. It was not easy they fought alot and then there life and started over. There was alot that happened that made you mad, cry, and be happy. They never happened at the same time. I have to say this book was better then the second one. Apr 29, Rumpled Sheets Blog rated it it was amazing Shelves: You will want to lose yourself in this story!

And loved every second of it. It was truly remarkable and so damn good! I did not want it to end. Deliciously flawed, combustible and sizzling chemistry between the two main characters made the story so real and very believable. Sebastian and Carolines journey was written to perfection. Their journey does not let you go and has you thinking about it days after the last page was read and is one of those books You will want to lose yourself in this story! Their journey does not let you go and has you thinking about it days after the last page was read and is one of those books that will stay with you.

Jane does an amazing job creating a vivid picture in your mind that has you even more addicted and gripped. I loved that she put a lot of depth and soul into her characters and gave them amazing, interesting and intriguing personalities. For me, this the perfect romance. I recommend it without reservation. It is an absolute must read. The marvelous journey for romantics out there. Apr 29, Mary S rated it it was amazing. I happened to stumble across Lifers, and went wow. I really like the style of writing, the emotion and the ability to draw me so much into the story.

Of course I read then all with the same feeling. I couldn't wait until these two books were released. I read many reviews and waited patiently until it appeared on my Kindle. After three days of laughter tears and sighs of happin I happened to stumble across Lifers, and went wow. After three days of laughter tears and sighs of happiness, I am so sad to see the story end. I am glad I was able to get the updates. They were great POV from Sebastian. I cannot stress enough that everyone needs to read these two emotional, and heart wrenching stories of two soul mates caught in a forbidden love that no matter what, nothing could keep them apart.

I laughed and cried throughout. There is a lot going on in these two stories, just buy them, sit back and enjoy. You will be glad you did: Apr 24, Beth rated it it was amazing. I loved these books so much that I gifted this new and improved version to a friend.

They are gut-wrenchingly and heartbreakingly beautiful! I originally read these last year. The Education series is a story that will stick with you long after you're finished reading it. It's an epic romance, friendship, and journey for Sebastian and Caroline that spans over many years and several continents.

I could not have loved him more! He just broke my heart over and over with how sweet, genuine and raw he was with his emotions. I have to admit, I was surprised by how fast everything happens but as the story moves forward there was never any doubt that it was much more than lust. Their feelings completely consumed each other and it always felt incredibly genuine.

I think the way the affair was handled was done really well. I never for one minute was even remotely mad at Caroline for having the affair or carrying on the way she did. I had a lot of anxiety while reading, just waiting and waiting for them to get caught, but it did make the experience that much more exciting and made me that much more invested in the story. Wow, talk about explosive!

It really took my breath away and left me reeling. Then I read the blurb for The Education of Caroline and about passed out…. When we see Caroline now, she is strong, independent, and has become an incredibly successful journalist who is taken very seriously in her profession. I love how Caroline and Sebastian are introduced to each other again in the book.

So much has happened and changed. Not only is there that desperate love that has always been there, but now they have to deal with the repercussions of their choices over the last ten years. They have to get to know each other again and fight for what they had. I thought they both acted immature at times in this, but in a way I could empathize with that because things were so strained, so much time had passed, so much had happened, and there was a lot of hurt.

They were bound to piss eachother off and get into it. But underneath it all they are still the same people and are just meant to be together. Their friendship is short-lived as often the case within the military community, moving to different bases around the country.

The writing in first person from Caroline's pov suits this story well. Caroline is a likeable heroine. Sebastian is written I think particularly well as a sweet, caring, yet mature teenager.

Their relationship is believable, romantic and sweet. There is a lot of sex. The Not-So-Good There is a lot of sex. It can and does become a little tiresome, despite it being well-written. For those readers who dislike cheating in any way, shape or form, this book will not be for you. Caroline is married, albeit unhappily, but embarks on an affair with Sebastian. The plot here is pretty thin. Besides the sex, of course It's very much a slow, character-driven story.

Caroline is likeable, but a bit of a doormat. I realise she was young when she married, but I wish she'd stood up for herself a bit with her husband. As the adult here she was also reckless and at times clueless. This complaint is I realise, redundant now. But the book does end on a cliffie. No waiting, as book 2 has been released. Just have it ready if you're going to continue reading the series.

I have a cousin, who at 18 met and fell in love with a lovely, not happily married woman of I think that if Caroline had just only waited for Sebastian to turn 18, their love story may have not created the pain they both experienced when their relationship was discovered.

The choices they both made may not have been right but then I have never been faced with something like they were so it was pretty difficult for me to make any judgments. I just kept hoping that things would not end badly for them. And things did end in such a painful and sad way. She went from a life of being sheltered by her parents to marrying a man who has never shown her any real love and acceptance or recognized the person she was.

Feeling alive, feeling loved and loving. Their love scenes are beautiful, sensual and breathtaking. Sebastian leaned back in his chair and I took a deep breath. I shook my head. It was utterly new and terrifying and exhausting and wonderful. I was dazzled by the light that spilled from him into the shadow of my previous existence. He eclipsed everything, erased everything that had gone before. I was reborn — not just to him, but to myself. And I was ready for the adventure. I fell in love with him from the very beginning. He has such a loving heart, a sweetness in him that pulled at my heartstrings.

A longing to love and be loved. To matter to someone. I loved seeing the two sides of him…the young and carefree and the deeper side of him. Almost hard to believe he was so young. I was so lucky. He was kind and thoughtful and caring. He was fun to be with; beautiful inside and out. And he loved me. But was I really strong enough to follow my heart and to hell with the consequences?

Could I expect a 17 year old boy… man… to be strong enough for this? I was the one who had to be strong: The interaction between Caroline and Sebastian is beautiful and intense, totally captivating me. Sebastian was singing to himself. I strained to hear the words. A beautiful, intense, passionate, devastating, forbidden love story. I will say, when you finish this one, be ready to jump straight into book 2! Caroline is in a loveless marriage. At 30 years old, and being married for 11 of those years, she is living a lonely and empty life. Being with David is sucking the life out of her. David is an officer in the Navy. They are living out east, but he gets transferred to California. They move back to San die 5 Amazing heart shattering stars!!! They move back to San diego where there were stationed around 9 years ago.

When she last saw Seb, he was only 8 years old. He has horrible parents, so he would visit Caroline and her father a lot as a child. Sebastian is now 17, but he looks much older than that. He recognizes Caroline right away. I love that guy! He does not have the maturity level of a 17 almost 18 year old.

The two of them start to catch up with each other. There is a pretty obvious connection and attraction, though Caroline tries to deny it at first. Sebastian brings Caroline back to life. I knew it was wrong: They are keeping their relationship a secret until he turns 18, then they are going away together. Not only was this a beautiful story, it was smoking hot! These two have crazy chemistry. The age difference was really not that big of a thing. She just loves Sebastian. And Sebastian is crazy in love with her. He is protective over her, such a sweet guy, and no matter what other women are around, he only sees Caro.

It is really sad. I was rooting for these two the whole book. Would it really matter if they were 20 and 33, or how about 30 and No one would care! Sebastian was a minor. Now, as beautiful as their love story was, the ending was tragic The last few pages seriously had me a hot mess!!! I was kinda like this The ending of this book gutted me. I was an emotional wreck, crying hysterically. After reading this story- Just a side note: After reading BOTH books in this series, if the age difference is a deal breaker for you , give the second book a shot! The Education of Caroline was a fabulous read!

But I would highly recommend both of these two: View all 29 comments. She's thirty, in a loveless marriage and he has a few months before his eighteenth birthday. There are circumstances that have made Sebastian Hunter mature beyond his years. Not only is he incredibly handsome, but very endearing and oh-so-lovable! Carolina Wilson aka Caroline is coasting through life in a loveless marriage, following the orders of her overbearing husband. Now, for the first time in her life her tesoro makes her feel alive. This is a new-to-me author and she has an amazing talent for storytelling.

JHB has crafted an engaging, well written story with a cast of complex characters and included a plot that makes it impossible to put down.

Was very wary about starting this. I mean I have a son who is nearly 17 - did I want to go down that road in this book. It had things that I do not like in books, infidelity, underage sex! But I saw the great reviews by a lot of friends and I know their taste is good so went for it.

I really liked it. Yes, the age thing did bother me a bit - he is 17, she is 30, he is legally under the age of consent. I know in America it is different ages in different S Well, that was a bit of a roller-coaster. I know in America it is different ages in different States. But it was a fairly powerful love story. OK, you are thinking, he is only 17, what does he know about love but I really felt he did love Carolina - coming from his background I can see how he might have jumped into any kind of loving relationship but I believe the connection was there long ago.

My heart was in my mouth a lot of the time, waiting for them to be caught. Think they took a few too many risks. Was it worth it? Not sure - yes, there was the "cliffhanger" - did I say recently that I was not reading any more of these "cliffhanger" books?? I doubt I would have started it if I did not have the next one to dive into straight away. I thought the writing was very good, the characters portrayed very well, even the non-main characters.

Would recommend this book. Hopefully Book 2 will end up the way i want it to end! View all 22 comments. Jan 28, Rag rated it it was amazing Shelves: All of the stories I've read or watched that had cheating on it would end in a disaster. Like this new movie coming out called "The Boy Next Door with Jennifer Lopez in it, you could tell that the "boy" is a bad guy and things go to hell.

This book was exactly what I've been in a mood for. Caroline has been together with her husband 4. Caroline has been together with her husband for 11 years. She knows she isn't happy with him. Get this, she is not his wife or partner, she's basically his slave. She's supposed to be the 'perfect' wife.

She nows that's not her but she doesn't say anything. Sebastian is the boy that Caroline used to look after because his shitty-alcoholic parents couldn't. But now that Caroline is back to town and meets Sebastian again he's no longer the 8 year old she ince new, he's now a built-hot-tanned-surfer. You could tell there was a connection when they reunited. Before they started getting "intimate" Caroline didn't know that Sebastian was only That was one of the reasons what they were doing was wrong.

Had I reached a turning point in my life, or was this merely a blip on a long and bleak horizon? Was leaping from a failed relationship to a doomed one the most sensible action for a woman of thirty? Could I really say that meant nothing? Were those feelings so abundant in my life that I could count them worthless. Lets talk about David, he is a reason that makes me want to never wanna get married.

There's like a huge amount of men that use their wives as maids than soul mates. He pissed me off badly. That's why she was happy that she cheated on him. I was crying and laughing and crying. How ridiculously happy and terrified and happy I felt. Sebastian made her feel wanted, beautiful, and alive. She've never felt that way with David. She felt loved for the first time. Fate had thrown us together: I simply no longer cared.

I had chosen — willingly, knowingly, deliberately. This book was simply beautiful. Love doesn't know any age difference. I loved caro and Sebastian. But I couldn't help but fall in love with Sebastian. He might've been 17 but he's mature for his age. Thank the God that there's a second book, if there wasn't I think I would've died a thousand deaths. View all 37 comments. Mar 15, Lisa Jayne rated it really liked it. I certainly wasn't sure about this book going in to it, but as ever I was tempted by the great reviews and it's popularity on GR. My heart was literally in my mouth the whole way through this book.

The book had a way of drawing me in, with it's intrigue and passion i I was almost desperate to see how the story would end. Overall I found this difficult to rate, at times I did feel uncomfortable with the content of the story. But their is no doubt that I fell in love with the characters and book two becomes a necessity after completing this story. This book has 5 star ratings almost everywhere, the authors talent of writing a story of taboo proportions, that is gorgeously written and dare I say enjoyable astounded me.

I was a nervous wreck most of the way through the story, so that did take away some of the enjoyment level of my reading experience. This is undoubtably a 5 star read but I can only give it 4 overall. A conflicted 4 stars. View all 34 comments. His weight pinned me down as I ran my hands across the taut muscles of his back and shoulders. The only thing that stopped me was that I knew it ended in a cliffhanger, so I waited for the release of the second book. As soon as book two was released, 4. As soon as book two was released, I was all over it like white on rice. I knew the premise of the story involved a thirty-year-old woman and her year-old lover.

Did it bother me? She married David when she was only nineteen years old. He constantly mistreats her and takes her for granted. When they return to San Diego for the second time around, this is when her life begins to change. When Caroline first lived in San Diego, he would constantly go over to her house and visit with her and her father. He was truly saddened when she moved away. Fast forward ten years later, she returns and finds Sebastian all grown up.

However, Sebastian is relentless. Crushing on her when he was only eight was just the starting point. They start an affair. Their first time was pretty memorable. Heck yea, she freaked. She swore that she would wait til he turned eighteen before doing it again, but unfortunately, that plan blows up in her face. They seriously cannot resist each other.

They enjoy being around each other, not only on a physical level, but also a very deep emotional level as well. Caroline starts to wake up. They set up a plan that when he turns 18, she will not only divorce David, but they plan on running away together. They have dreams of roaming Italy and starting a life together in New York. But how long can they keep their affair a secret? Sebastian is just the sweetest man in the world. Why does he even want me? Could they make their dream work? Her fears were valid, but Sebastian kept reassuring her that they will try to do the best they can to be together.

This book had me on pins and needles the whole time. I was waiting for the shoe to drop. I was emotionally invested in their relationship. When this story ended, I was a hot mess. I was glad I read this when I knew book two was out because as soon as I closed this book, I opened book two immediately. View all 8 comments. Maybe book 2 will work better for me: I know all my GR buddies loved it so pls don't hate me, it's just my fault!

Caro falls in love with him in 2 seconds, seriously? Her husband is super cliche, like the bad guys in cartoons. You are waiting 4 months to leave your hubby because you are not able to do it on your own, we are in , get a job doing whatever and manage your life! And then I found some parts funny and they were NOT meant to be funny! I have a good, scratch that, great sexual life and you don't use 12 condoms or was that a 24 condoms box? Carolina Maria you should be super sore, use cream over there guapa!

That's the most normal thing ever! We don't like sweet guys and you come with sugar on top! I will finish this, hell yeah or I'll try and then I will read book 2 because I know I am going to love cocky Sebas! View all 82 comments.
