Where to go T ake a possibly choppy boat ride to the fascinating archaeological site on Delos islet, the ancient Aegean's main religious centre. The world's 50 most Instagrammable pools. Know before you go. Buses are a great way to get around, and if you are staying in town the main bus area where all the buses are parked together has schedules of where the buses go and to what beaches.
Make sure you buy a return bus ticket as this saves time when you have to queue up at the end of the day — the lines for the return buses at some beaches can get CRAZY, sometimes they only let on people with tickets first no idea why so check the time of your return bus and try to line up a good min before hand.

In some beaches like Elia, Paradise etc people will actually follow the bus well it's trying to park just to be nearest to the door when it opens - nightmare: I have learnt from experience they can be a little shifty: Cost for a ticket is around 1. Reason being if you are in a line with 30 people waiting the cab takes the person who booked first!
When to go to Mýkonos
A tip, share with others if you can. Mykonos has some great shopping BUT compared to Athens it can get a little expensive. If you are not planning a stop in Athens to shop then I suggest bringing alot of cash!
They have some good cheap souvenir places around Little Venice and the Windmills, cheaper shopping boutiques are in the middle of town next to accessorize. On the beaches they have vendors come and try sell you copy watches, bags, CDs etc I have bought them all and do think the CDs are a great way to save Well I hope this has helped a little, enjoy your travels to Mykonos Hi, I am going to mykonos September 21st and I was also wondering if there is still a party scene on paradise beach and in the clubs.

I also heard rumors that some of the clubs close in the "off seasons" is this true? I cant imagine everything closes Thanks so much for all your tips Tashi! I am staying in Kalo Livadi after I get to the port in mykonos. Is there a bus that goes over there? There's no bus service to Kalo Livadi , which is quite a distance from the three nearest locations to which there is very limited daily service -- Ano Mera , Elia beach and Kalafatis beach. If you take a taxi to the hotel, your choices for getting around without a rental car would be limited to taking taxis to other places, or walking.

Kalo Livadi is a lovely beach area, but I consider it fairly isolated -- there isn't much around so you would have a very limited selection of places to dine, for instance. Mykonos Town is too far away to walk, so you would have to cab there and back. You would have long walks to reach Agia Anna and Kalafatis beaches to the east; to get to Elia beach to the west, you would have to hike up and over a mountain and then back. I personally wouldn't consider staying in an area like Kalo Livadi unless I was planning to rent a car.
Rbajaj I would highly recommend a car or scooter if you can budget for it This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.
