Shay's a great character and I liked that she knew what she was in for with Ryan.

It was a new spin on the mating bond between Lycan and Fae. This writer never ceases to convey real emotions with the characters and I like that. And when it came time for him to get with his actual mate , I didn't feel like it was any better.

The only dif seemed to be his biting her and saying 'mine' a lot. They are even in the same position.

Tempted to doc a star for this This book was a surprise. I wasn't expecting much, what with the plain cover pic and the fact that it has been out a couple years but only a handful of reviews. It's a short read with all the usual paranormal elements, but nicely done and fun! For some unexplained reason, Ryan hates the fae, but one of his pack needs their healing touch to help her prevent another miscarriage.

Shay is the fae who is brave enough to answer the call. Ryan plans to stay away, but of course circumstances intervene and he ends up trying to choke the life out of her in his anger. Just as he's choking her, he gets a strong wiff and realizes she is his mate. He is of course, appalled at what he almost did and must now convince her that he's not a murderous SOB etc.

The usual plot device of the power hungry jealous OW is a prominent part of the story. Cliche but imo not over done. I think you would enjoy it so please try it! Im pretty sure it was about a young female being in love with the pack beta for her whole life but he is indifferent until she decides to move on.

Kate Nov 24, I was trying to think of a book I thought I owned I reach out to the bookworm community. The book had at least 2 stories. The first story our shifter guy, older in age, but not looks, has at least 2 kids - also werewolves. He owns a cologne brand. The opening scene is him at a party of a perfume company. The owner is wearing bad, overpowering perfume he doesn't like and the lady's assistant, our heroine in this first story, recently came up with the blend he likes. I think she ends up fired, and by the end the two are together. In the other story, there's this woman having unsatisfactory intercourse as he's only pleasing himself.

Once there she later becomes pursued by a boy who's a werewolf and her mate and learns that she is one as well and is gonna turn on her 18th birthday. Then as the story continues there's a time where she's joins the boys varsity team at her school and befriends her human teammates.

She turns out to be their secret weapon due to her abilities. Then at the end she and her mate have a cub that is stolen because the baby will be one of the most powerful werewolves. But she and her mate rescues him and she kills the kidnapper. I forgot the name of this book and it's author, but want to read again, any answers will be much appreciated.

New characters such as Sam Harper and the Chicago pack, Dante and the mysterious Mr Stone keep us all captivated to the last word.

Unexpected sub plots will have you saying 'I never saw that coming. A box of tissues is required too as you witness a heartbreaking good-bye.

This book is a must for any woman needing a 'girl power' fix. Sam Harper is strong, determined, confident in who she is and the role she has. She's also sexy and cocky and has Damien reeling with confusion as he still grieves for his lost mate. With the back streets of Chicago being the setting, it's a perfect mix for their story. A very easy five stars, you will not be disappointed.

It is time and money well spent. It is a story you can read over and over again and along with the other five The Mating, The Keeping, The finding, Bonded, Betrayed, days of the rogue they make a great collection for any reading device Ash Aparicio on May 1, I've been a longstanding fan of Nicky Charles' books. In fact, her stories, along with S. Stephens and a few others, were the catalyst to my returning reading obsession many years ago.

And I've never turned back. Days of the Rogue are the first in The Law of the Lycan series.

ASMR, The Vampire & The Werewolf - Forbidden Love! (Boyfriend Roleplay) - British Accent

All five books have high marks in my standards. There's action, suspense and a load of romance to sweeten the deal. The story in the whole is beautiful with deep angst, great subplots and drool worthy alpha males. The Road to Redemption is Damien Masterson's story. We first met him in Bonded, he was the young, cocky partner of Reno Smith while working for Lycan Link.

He also got a spotlight in Betrayed: Days of the Rogue where we see him struggle just to survive waking up and make it a single day with a semi lucid grasp on sanity. Damien is struggling with his past. While working with Lycan Link, an organized group of Lycans with one common goal of keeping order and upholding the Book of the Law, he brushed hairs with purist groups hell bent on keeping their lineage "pure" and lost his blood bonded mate and unborn pup in a tragic explosion. The pain from it all caused Damien to retract into himself and his wolf take over, turning his back on his friends and the Lycan Link.

The Road to Redemption starts where "Days" left off. In "Road", he's helping a friend and Alpha for another pack by going undercover to scope out possibilities for a takeover. While doing so, he meets up with Sam; an independent, spirited and young acting Alpha for the Chicago pack. Little does Damien know, he will learn a lot more about Sam and her pack than financial statistics and the steady decline in their genetic pool.

With other worries besides Kane Sinclare's impending take over looming over the Chicago pack's head, Damien is forced to face his inner demons and choose a new path in his life. Will his wolf and his human side come to an agreement in life and new love? Will Beth stand in his way of a fresh start?

New characters as well as twists and turns no one saw coming are sure to keep you flipping pages. Betrayal, lust and dangerous personalities are definitely in there as well. Nicky Charles does it again, pulling her reader in from the very first sentence and not letting go until the last page. You WILL have a book hangover when finished reading! Deborah Davidson on May 1, I was eagerly awaiting this latest book as I couldn't imagine where the series was going next.

Having come to know and love all of the characters it was almost like waiting for that long awaited letter home from a loved one. Damien is at first glance cold, tough and uncaring. Hidden behind his cold exterior is a heart that has been crushed and love is something he feels is best left in the past. Will things change when a new woman comes on the scene?
