Ignite (Explosive, #1)
Deathwish and Wand of Woh are interchangeable, either worn or cubed. In general you should wear the better of the two. Simple yet effective build. As you can see from the video, you want to try and have nice tight groupings of enemies. Etched Sigil AS breakpoint in important. See this link for a full breakpoint table. You're going to want to be within this range of AS:. Ignite enemies by standing next to them to hit with EB , then channel AT: This should also proc your MW: Ignite , providing the FB6 bonus.
Typically you'll skip trash until you find an elite. You can manage to kite the elites next to the trash or vice versa for gaining extra progress. Stand in oculus ring follower procs if possible. Note that if you aren't hitting at least the elites, but you're standing in an oculus , you might want to adjust your playstyle to skip the oculus ring on occasion. Try and position yourself properly regardless of oculus ring, but when it is fairly well positioned, or you can kite your enemies over to it, take advantage of it.
Ensure you stand still for maximum damage from EW. Make sure you're channeling as much as possible to benefit from the Deathwish, Etched Sigil , Mantle of Channeling , and Taeguk bonuses. I prefer to set an autocast for my EB. You can numlock this skill, or script it. Bone Chill can be cast manually if need be for crowd control purposes. Most of the time the procs from Halo of Arlyse apply this debuff nicely though. Defensively, most of your DR comes from the Halo of Arlyse and APD combo, so as you deal damage, try and stand near or kite to density to benefit from increased damage reduction.
Note that with Unity you will need a unity on your follower as well, and an Enchanting favor do not die token on your Templar. Mobility is provided by Illusionist, a very nice addition to the build. Unwavering Will for the extra damage and defense. The damage from UW is additive with Taeguk , so it's really only about 5. That's assuming at least paragon, and better gear and augments than are in the video.
Arcane Torrent only ticks once every so often, and etched sigil only attempts to proc about once every second, so there is some gap of time there where the etched sigil is doing nothing. This gap is a fixed cost that you'll have to factor in when using Etched Sigil. Interesting build, but I am curious about how you are choosing to use the etched sigil. Since explosive blast can be used independently, wouldn't you be able yield more DPS by having your torrent also cast free fire twisters or something while still using explosive blast on cooldown?
Etched Sigil casts randomly, not in rotation. The problem comes when it chooses randomly to keep casting Twister, and therefore delay your cast of EB, which will reduce your dps tremendously. The reason Area damage isn't emphasized more in the build, and left as an option as you can see from the video I don't have AD on shoulder , is because I still don't think etched sigil cast explosions trigger this.
AD is an option on shoulder. You can also opt for LoH on Bracer in addition to the recommended Weapon roll , if preferred. Conan Exiles Store Page. Wikkyd View Profile View Posts. It sounded wonderful and I'm all for second chances. But in truth, I found 'Ignite' boring. Dual POV's works when different scenes are told by the two main characters. There's a fluidity there that keeps the reader interested. The other thing that bothered me was the overly mature speaking, Ava. The I'm definitely in the minority here.
The little girl is 4 years old but spoke and mimicked an 8 year old. I know that might sound silly, but I have a 4 year old that talks a lot and has great grammar My 5 year old, or any other 5 year old in her K class, doesn't even speak in such grammatically perfect tense either. But aside from that, I felt like I was always waiting for something--which never came. I really liked the concept of second chances, especially at love, and I loved how both Jace's and Alexa's past became their future.
It was poetic and beautiful--as a concept--but it didn't supply this book enough for me as a story. Regardless, this is a crowd favourite, so read it for yourself and judge. This is a standalone and every accompanying book in the series will be about different characters, although crossover is assumed. Thanks for the rec Mo! Ten years ago they had smoldering chemistry, but the spark between them now might light a fuse that leads to an explosion even Jace can't stop. Happy reading D xo View all 19 comments. I really enjoy reading second chance romance books and I have to say Ignite has turned out to be one of the better ones for me. It was sweet, tender, sexy and HOT! This is my first book by Tessa Teevan and I thought it was great. I found the flow of the story to be wonderful even though it covered a 10 year span in time. I appreciated everything Tessa shared about Jace and Alexa. It just made their story even more special.
They were so cute and innocent. Alexa had such a big crush on Jace and gave him her heart without him knowing it until one night when goodbyes are about to happen. This is when Alexa finds out his true feelings for her but as quickly as she gets a piece of his heart, it is taken away. I thought she was spunky, sweet, sexy and she definitely knew what she wanted.
Lexi is strong on the outside but her heart has been hurting for the last year or so. After losing her husband to a terrible accident she is dealing with feelings that she has yet been able to share with others. Mostly about things that happened just before the accident but when she finds out that Jace is returning to their hometown after 10 years she will be forced to deal with feelings that she has tucked away.
I instantly fell in love with Jace. Some may say too perfect but to me I just sucked it up! In addition to having a tender heart, he was a sexy and hot military guy. I loved that he never stopped loving Alexa. That he was willing to wait for her, willing to take whatever she was able to give him.
He was so swoony! The chemistry between them was sizzling and the sex scenes are HOT. Tessa Teevan drove me crazy as she was bringing them together but when it happened OMG! Their journey was filled with moments of rediscovering each other, learning about their lives while they were apart and trying to figure out what their future holds for them.
While Jace is ready and willing to put his heart out on the line, Alexa is a bit more guarded and needs more time. She gave her heart to him once, then again to her husband. Can she give it away again? And then there is little Ava who was just cute as a button! If you enjoy second chance romance you need to read Ignite! You will love it! Jul 12, Duchess Nicole rated it it was ok Shelves: Putting this one on hold.
I usually love second chance romances and the fact that the heroine is a widow made me think "older" despite the New Adult-ish cover. I may pick this up later if I want to do some housecleaning of my bookshelves. I've read a lot of books that started off poorly and improved later on, so I don't want to write it completely off.

While she is still trying to put her life back together and heal her sister invites her to go with her to her high school reunion. Lexi's lost love Jace is at the reunion and after 10 years of not seeing each other sparks fly.
Jace was always this cute, baseball jock, and now he is a super hot, muscular military guy. The one thing that hasn't changed is his feelings for Alexa. I really enjoyed them getting to know each other again. Jace wasn't your typical jerk you often see in books. He is truly a genuine, kind man.
What you see is what you get. He doesn't play games, he loves with all his heart, and did I mention he is smokin hot!!! I also really liked all the supporting characters.
Re-Release Blitz & Giveaway: Ignite (Explosive #1) by Tessa Teevan
Alexa's sister Sierra and her neice Ava were hilarious, and I absolutely adored Jeremy her sister's husband! I also like Alexa's relationship with her best friend Brady. I really wanted more of Jace's military best friend Knox Wellington from the moment I read about him. I am thrilled he is getting his own book! The object of my high school desires, and the one girl I've never been able to forget. She freezes, and my body reacts exactly the same way.

This was my first time reading Tess Teevan and I can't wait to read the rest of this series. It took me a little longer to read this but Ignite has everything you need for a great read, great funny characters, scorching hot sex, funny banter and some heart breaking moments. Thanks Patty for suggesting I read this series.
Dec 25, Paige rated it it was amazing Shelves: I really enjoyed it then but as I reread it for the second time, I fell for it even harder. They have a powerful second chance romance that left me breathless and with all sorts of warm fuzzies. I loved that even though they had challenges to face, they never wavered in their love and devotion to each other once they reconnected. After spending 10 years apart, they both lived lives filled 4. After spending 10 years apart, they both lived lives filled with other things and other people, but together they still fit perfectly.
Alexa has spent he last 18 months reeling from her husband's death and the last words he ever said to her, "I really hate you sometimes. When her sister Sierra decides that she needs a push in the right direction to get her life moving again, she talks Alexa into coming to her and her husband's 10 year high school reunion as a babysitter for their daughter Ava. But when Alexa gets a call from her long lost best friend turned first love turned first heart break, Jace, she realizes that maybe Sierra is up to something. Jace has spend the last 10 years in the military going from one woman to the next and one deployment to the next without forming any attachments.
When he realizes that his best friend and the one that got away is going to be at his 10 year reunion, he decides that he is going to get her to fall back in love with him. He spent all of high school falling for his best friend but after their one night together he had to leave for basic training. When life got in their way and he saw that she married someone else, he knew he needed to stay away so that Alexa could be happy.
Now knowing that life had other plans, he's determined to show her that he is her perfect fit and alway has been. I am such a sucker for a swoony second chance romance and this book delivered everything I needed and wanted. Watching these two become friends again and eventually more had me sighing and contentment and anxiously awaiting the time that they both realized how perfect they still were for each other.
Filled with a bit of angst, lots of laughs, and some heartbreakingly sweet times yet still pulling on my heartstrings until the very wonderful end, Alexa and Jace have gone to the top of my favorite book couples.

After having been reintroduced to Sierra and Jeremy as well as their sweet girl, Ava, I am so excited to read their story, Fusion. Knowing that not only will I get to see them grow up but also get to see a young Jace and Alexa, I can hardly wait for their story to unfold.

View all 10 comments. ARC provided by author I'm literally in book heaven right now. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this fabulous book from the author.
The synopsis sounded so good and Tessa Teevan did not disappoint!!! They were the best of friends in a High School. Jace was the HS baseball star and Lexi was his side kick. She's a year younger but the two ar 5 Stars!!! She's a year younger but the two are practically inseparable. Both crazy in love with each other, but completely oblivious to their reciprocating affections. Everyone else can see what these two are so blind to!!! Then on the night of his graduation, the night before he leaves to join the army, Jace confesses his feelings for Alexa.
They have an intimate night together and Jace vows to come back for Alexa. You've never gotten it. It makes me crazy, but I also love that about you, Alexa. You're so unaware that it drives me insane. Jace never stopped pining for Alexa and he's never given his heart to another woman in ten years. Lexi married Ty, a boy she met during her college years. Ty and Lexi get into a car accident in which Ty is killed. His last words to her I fucking hate you sometimes Lexi has been grieving for over a year and those last words from Ty's mouth to her, still haunt her.
Ty was not a bad guy and you'll get the background on what transpired before those famous last words. They were in the same class as Jace. Sierra gets Lexi to come with them to act as her niece, Ava's, baby sitter. She's got ulterior motives. Playing matchmaker for her sister and Jace. I loved Sierra, Jeremy and little Ava!! Ava just about steals every scene she's in. When Jace and Alexa come face to face, the chemistry is undeniable. You feel the sexual tension! There is just a brief moment in awkwardness and then the two settle in to familiarity.
He could read me so easily, and he could handle me with care without seeming too overprotective. He was just Jace. Jace McAllister is what we want in a book boyfriend. Tall, gorgeous, drool worthy physique, and hot damn he's got all the sexual moves, even though I have to agree with Sierra and Lexi, he was a bit of a "blue clit master" LOL I'll never forget that term.
I was going to combust waiting for these two to finally consummate their relationship!! But oh my god when these two finally have sex, it's crazy off the charts HOT!! Do you know how much it's killed me to not have you? I can't hold it in much longer, Alexa. Lexi was quite a frustrating character!! So blind to see what was right in front of her and then too scared to give love another try. I wanted to shake some sense into her!! I needed to douse myself with cold water to cool down I also loved some of the secondary characters, which doesn't happen too often for me.
They all played an important role in getting these two star crossed lovers back together. But Lexi's fear of losing Jace holds her back from giving up her heart to him and I'm yelling at her to get her ass in gear. Life is too short to worry about what may or may not happen!! How can she resist a man who says this??
I've never had a woman with whom I've had a connection with like you and I had. I've never, nor will, ever want anyone but you. I don't want to give anything away. Can't wait for Knox's book!!!! Jul 11, Lydia H rated it it was amazing Shelves: Trust me, it's fan-freaking-tastic!!! Until the last moment — right before Jace left to join the Army.
Then, life happened and Alexa never heard back from Jace. Alexa had spent the greater part of the year mourning the death of her husband after a tragic car accident. This stirred all kinds of emotions in Alexa. The man, that whether she wanted to admit to herself or not, still occupied a huge part of her heart. And the first guy I ever loved.

My heart smiled seeing Alexa open up to Jace again, accept her feelings, and even trust him enough to talk to him about her husband… about the horrible day he was tragically taken from her. You were my best friends. Jace returned to Afghanistan to finish his deployment and Alexa returned to her empty house. They kept in touch and basically took things slowly. You see, Alexa and Jace both loved each other and they each knew it, but Alexa was scared.
I never once got irritated with her doubts, hesitations, or fears. I was there every step of the way with both Jace and Alexa as they gave their love a second chance. I saw Jace fight to prove to Alexa that they are worth her overcoming her fears of burying yet another loved one, and I was there right along Alexa as she spent her days thinking Jace would never come back from his deployments.
Yes, there were moments where I wanted to smack Alexa, moments where my heart just broke for Jace, but the way that Tessa wrote this book was very real. Being an Army wife myself, I completely understood all these feelings and situations. The secondary characters were phenomenal!!!!! I may or may not have finished reading with happy tears going down my face What a sweet book. This is a book about second chances in love Alexa is 27 years old and a widow.
Her husband died in a car accident and one and a half years later she is still struggling with this When Alexa's sister is going to her high school reunion, Alexa is taken back to the past, where she sees her first love, her childhood best friend, the boy whom she gave her virginity to- Jace: Jace and Alexa were inseparable in school. Only she's apprehensive because his in the military. History cannot repeat itself and Alexa cannot go through another loss in her life What will she decide? This is a book about second chances, overcoming your fears and embracing what's meant to be. It will never get better than you. No matter how many times I try to duplicate it, I know that it will never, ever happen.
