From Best Friend to Bully (Townsend Library)
Also because I am extremely shy around a lot of people and always got picked on because of it. Townsend makes me feel like I can actually learn everything from my subjects and count on my teachers. TCS allows me to get an education in a flexible and interesting way.
This way of learning is a lot of fun for me as opposed to a public school. The main reason is because the teachers here want to see me reach my goals in life. If [stuff] happens in my life, I still have the chance to get back on track. I came to TCS because I thought it'd help me get a head start at starting my life off and hopefully a career. My mother was diagnosed with cancer, when she was diagnosed i had to stay home to raise my little sister, for the first three years of her life.
I really liked meeting with I just wanted to try it out, then I liked it so much that I stuck with it.
My girlfriend goes to TCS and they really liked it. I came here to get good grades, so I can graduate high school. I love coming once a week because teachers can help me right away. I love TCS because there is no bullying here. I also love it cause I am getting better grades. At TCS teachers explain the work better to me so I can understand it. I love TCS because I can work at my own pace. It's more convenient for my boys and they love the program.
I like TCS because this program is very flexible with my schedule and my teacher is supportive. I love getting one on one interaction, rather than sitting in a classroom. But at my old school I always got picked on for being myself. But TCS is a better school for me. I loving being here at TCS, it is better for me to be here. I came to TCS because I needed an alternative to be able to go through school and take care of my daughter. I'm glad I made that decision. I chose to come to Townsend because I needed a home school type program and Townsend is perfect. TCS is also a lot more flexible in hours and far less drama takes place in the school.
I chose to come to TCS because I really think it would be a great opportunity for me to graduate on time and get me where I need to be. I came here to catch up and work at my own pace. You can work at your pace.
I came to TCS to be able to work at my own pace yet still have boundaries of turning work in. Also, that I could hopefully work ahead and graduate.
Our School
Everyone I talked to said TCS was a great school. I transferred here to get help and work at my own pace. I chose TCS so I could work at my own pace. I came to TCS because I can work at my own pace. I came to TCS because regular everyday school didn't work for me. Being able to go at my own pace is better for me. They didn't like the school they were at and it's easier for them to work at their own pace and less distractions I came to TCS because I work better at my own pace and I like to teach myself in certain subjects.
I can work at my own pace, and earn credits quicker. I chose TCS because it seemed liked a good working environment, and it is. I chose TCS because all the teachers are very nice and go out their way to make sure everyone graduates on time or early. This school they can do one on one help with you. The teachers at my old school would just yell if I asked for help. There are millions of reasons why I choose TCS.

I chose TCS because I want to graduate faster. Also unlike most schools the teachers here help you if you need help. Summary "'I'm just kidding! It was what Pam said every time she hurt Emily's feelings. Emily always forgave Pam.
All Exercises
After all, they were best friends. But now things were different. Pam was definitely not kidding. She was calling Emily names and making fun of her in front of their entire class.
Emily was no longer sure she could forgive Pam. In fact, she wasn't sure she could even be her friend anymore. Let's take a look at what is "good for boys": Sisters are only concerned with shopping, clothes, looking and smelling pretty; always ridiculing Kit male , calling him names, etc. Mother and female teacher always punishing Kit. When Kit gets in trouble in class, the school principal male decides not to punish him, encourages him instead to draw, and teaches Kit an important life lesson. Dad buys new pet fish when Kit and Arnold friend Many reviewers say this book is especially good for boys.
Dad buys new pet fish when Kit and Arnold friend kill one belonging to sisters, thus saving the boys from sisters' wrath; mom grounds Kit and Arnold for a week. Dad negotiates with Arnold's parents and drives Arnold home when he tries to run away; mom screams at Kit and threatens him with jail.
Mom and sisters drawn to look exactly the same. Dad, Kit and Arnold drawn with different features. All female characters drawn angry, screaming, with huge mouths full of sharp, pointed teeth. Kit draws sisters as monsters.

Kit cooperates with token school bully male to make him a better comedian, thus the school bully ceases to bully and all boys become friends. All males have personality traits, interests, talents, hobbies, activities. Sisters never make friends or do anything except walk around in pairs, either picking on Kit, or complimenting each other and their mother, whose only activities are shopping and cooking for family. There are no other girls in story. Mom calls sisters her "lovely smelling babies", sisters call her their "beautiful mommy".
One sister is quoted as saying, "Beautiful girls are never lonely". These are the kinds of things that teach boys and girls how to be boys and girls, how they appear to others, and what they can be when they grow up. And this is just one pg example of why girls grow up with poor self-image, overly concerned with superficial aspects of themselves and others, while boys grow up with individuality, belief in their ability to impact their universe, encouraged to be cooperative with and supportive of other males, but sexist and hostile toward girls and women, whose only function is to look nice for the purpose of finding companionship so that they may someday have, feed, and school children even though they are scary, dominating and mean toward boys.
I am disturbed reviewers are recommending this for K Call me old-fashioned, but in this house, we did alright with A. Milne, Beatrix Potter, and Dr. Nothing in this book is "good for boys" or girls, because boys and girls grow up to be men and women-- and I'd rather men and women get along with each other.
Jul 29, Erin Reilly-Sanders rated it liked it Shelves: At last a book that actually seems funny! As a graphic novel, it's somewhat lacking in the quality of art category, but I think that the casual, messy, almost ugly feel to the drawings is entirely appropriate to the material and age level. The illustration feels somewhat immature with a very simplistic style and pretty crude facial expressions. However, the book makes up for the art with enthusiasm, simple jokes, and a likable hero backed by a little bit of story about moving, making friends, an At last a book that actually seems funny!
However, the book makes up for the art with enthusiasm, simple jokes, and a likable hero backed by a little bit of story about moving, making friends, and bullying with a nice but not hit-you-over-the-head morals. I think that Kit Feeny has some of the appeal of Diary of a Wimpy Kid but without the extra text and appropriate to younger audiences. I also think that Kit is a lot nicer person that Greg, not that he's at all a saint but the humour is not based about treating other people badly so that Kit can learn from his mistakes when necessary.
While, the book is certainly a boy book, I enjoyed it a lot as a girl, although likely because I was able to get past the stereotyped sisters and mother who run around in floor-length dresses. I think the dress code is due to the artist's lack of ability to convey gender via facial structure and at least doesn't depict through body shape by giving each female little breasts. The female characters are dull, uninteresting, and are portrayed as antagonists primarily concerned with how beautiful they look and smell, in that they antagonize the main character.
But Kit Feeny is certainly a fun little read if the art style and the female characters don't turn you off. Oct 27, Christiane rated it liked it Shelves: Orange, black and white rather than pink and with a funny, gross boy narrator 1st-3rd grade boys who wouldn't be caught in public with a Babymouse will probably love this; will also appeal to Captain Underpants fans.

Laugh out loud hilarious - Kit Feeny is Baby Mouse for boys and totally entertaining. Jul 08, Steph rated it really liked it. Reads like Squish or Babymouse. We discovered this graphic novel at our local library and the girls thought it looked interesting. They both read it really quickly and liked it. They certainly could empathize with the "new kid in town" feeling. I thought it was a fun, fast read that was more targeted to boys. I wasn't a big fan of Kit's refrain of "stupid awesome," but since it was not targeted at an individual, I let it go.

Overall, we enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading Kit Feeny: The Ugly Necklace soon; it's too bad that there are only two books so far.
