The whole town had a hand in raising her after her mother and grandmother died so her life is pretty placid. The fact that he leaves cutesy little notes on them is not endearing him to her either. Today she is going to find out who the culprit or culprits are. Meanwhile across the world in Scotland a man Hannah has never met or heard of is getting more and more annoyed with her. Taggart de Gaelson has been sending her letter after letter trying to contact her about an inheritance that would change her life.
It seems she is the last living heir to a castle and a large area of land. Taggart is forced to travel to the US to find her and convince her to visit Scotland and her inheritance. This book has all the makings of a classic romance and adventure. Hannah our unsuspecting heroine will have to dig deep and learn to use all the skills and gifts that are her true family inheritance. She will face challenges she never dreamed of, and face long hidden truths. When I first read the blurb for this book I knew that it was a story that I had to read and share with the world.
My summation of the book is this: Who could ask for more? I received this book from the publisher, who only asked for a fair and impartial review. Apr 16, Cathie rated it it was amazing. Hannah is still trying to overcome the death of her husband. Her life a routine, she works, visits his grave, and works. Declining any dates, she sticks to herself.
Along comes hunky Scot Taggart with an offer she desperately wants to refuse: When she finally arrives at Taroc Na Mor, she receives her f Hannah is still trying to overcome the death of her husband. When she finally arrives at Taroc Na Mor, she receives her first shock of many in the shape of cheeky Draecna Gearlach, a young-ish dragon. It turns out that Hannah is a Sacred Guardian whose duty it is to bring young Draecna eggs to hatch — and keep them safe. Her mother and grandmother had both been Guardians but they were killed to stop them from doing their duty.
Hanna suddenly finds herself in danger — not just from the sizzling connection to Taggart, but also from the machinations of his evil brother, Sloan, who plans to raise his own Draecna army and gain eternal life. When Hannah is snatched from her safe haven and brought to Sloan to help hatch a stolen Draecna egg, Taggart has his hands full not only finding her alive, but also fighting his brother.
But will he be in time? There are plenty of intriguing twists in the plot, which never slows down once it takes off. I barely noticed it then, which means I was too engrossed in the plot. I was routing for her at the end. I can highly recommend it. Review posted on http: Feb 13, Toni rated it liked it Shelves: Nothing beats a brand new adventure and then add in dragons, count me in. They believe that it is time for her to move on and have plotted against her to help find a new love.
She scoffs at their foolish tactics and squashes every trick they pull. She was not prepared for the likes of Taggart though. Taggart de Gaelson has searched high and low for Hannah and will do everything but kidnap her to bring her back to her rightful home, Taroc Na Mor. After meeting the tiny woman and dealing with her, he is reevaluating his grand plan. Let the battle of wills begin.
It had simplicity to it, yet the details of the world building were imaginative and striking. Greyson has developed a fascinating new universe filled with fantastical creatures built around a beautiful and imaginative legend. This is an extremely easy read. While the romance had a strong presence in the story, the history of the Draecna is what caught my attention. This is by no means an explicit sexual novel. Greyson has written a sensual love story that captures your heart. It is a very sweet touching tale.
The foundation of the story was strong, but it just missed something to bring it on up to the next level for me. A very pleasant read, with sexy Scotsmen, an amazing alternate world and a break your heart love story. Oh yeah and dragons too! Apr 03, Bookaholics rated it really liked it. For Hannah does not realize that she is a mythical dragon guardian and that she is in danger. When she discovers she is the sole heir to a beautiful and haunting Scottish castle, she wants no part of it.
But as a powerful Draecna, Taggart is her protector and future mate. He has different plans for her, and he is running out of time for there are others who want to kill Hannah! This was a fascinating new world. I like that the original mythology of the Draecna. It was very different from many of the paranormal romances out in the market.
The hero, Taggart is very sexy. Hannah is kind of slow and sometimes a bland character. While I liked her work ethic and memory to her dead husband she seems to hold herself back a lot in the beginning of story which caused it to drag. I kept waiting for something to happen! Taggart has to pull her almost kicking to Scotland. I wished she had shown some enthusiasm most women would be delighted to find they inherited a castle in Scotland or at least been curious. But as the story progresses, so did my enthusiasm for the book.
I was also utterly charmed by the endearing young Draecna named William. If you love dragons and Scotland, this intriguing book will surprise you! Jan 06, Raquel Vega-Grieder rated it it was amazing. I totally got sucked into Maeve's book Eternity's Mark. It was a unique story with very likable characters. The way she sets a scene and her attention to detail is amazing. This book was so hard to put down. It had my attention from beginning to end. Hannah McPherson is a very strong woman.
She is a grieving widow who doesn't feel she will ever be at a place where she can ever love another man again. Taggart de Gaelson comes to Jasper Mills to persuade Hannah to come with him to see a castle in Scotland that she has inherited. Did I mention that Taggart hasn't told Hannah yet that she is the sacred Guardian to magical dragons called Draecna.
Once Hannah and Taggart get to Scotland I love how the whole story unfolds. From how Hannah reacts to the news about being a Guardian to how quickly she finds herself in love with Taggart. There is never a dull moment. Did I also forget to mention that Taggart harbors a very personal secret. A secret that could change the very foundation of his relationship with Hannah.
Can you say oh my goodness insert any g word you prefer I would say more but I really don't want to ruin this story for anyone. Maeve does a phenomenal job telling her story.
