Just when Caycee's wounds are healing from her expulsion on the Omega Killer team, she is dragged back into the thick of it. Caycee and her new team are front and center, focused on an interview of a bombing suspect, when Omega comes looking for revenge. His attack wounds her team, leaving Caycee with only one option for help-the devastatingly handsome bombing suspect.

What she had not anticipated was the hostility she received from her co-workers upon her arrival. The Omega Killings had taken a toll on the team and the pressure was mounting.

Upon her arrival, she finds a vital clue that saves the girl who was marked to be next in the killing.

This resulted in two things. Firstly, her egoistic boss could not share the Caysee Scarlet has finally landed where she always wanted to reach. Firstly, her egoistic boss could not share the limelight with her and she had to leave the case. Secondly, since she had broken the pattern of the serial killer- she was now the next target. Romance finds a way in her life as she gives in to the attraction she shares with Gil. They have a strong chemistry between them and soon she realizes that she is falling in love with her boss.

But here enters the sexy bomber….. Caught in action between four men- ex-boss who hates her, a handsome agent who is falling in love with her, a serial killer who has marked her as his next target and the sexy bomber who is definitely bad news for her, Scarlet knows her hands are full of mystery, passion and intrigue.

Ann McGinnis has created a very interesting plot involving mysterious men and a determined woman who challenges their action with equal grit. Scarlet comes out as a strong woman, but faithful or not - that you as a reader have to decide. All I can say at this point of time is that she keeps the readers guessing about her love life. The editing and proofreading is perfect and the story has many a-ha moments.

It is gripping and makes you want to turn the pages. Regarding the characters - very well etched. Such powerful and emotional words that it even raise my curiosity as to what actually he was up to. Gill comes across as a man of patience and he really needed that with Scarlet in some points.

But Scarlet is such a strong character, nothing less can be expected of her. As I have already mentioned the editing and proofreading was perfect. The only weak point I found in this story is the love life of Scarlet which was neither turbulent nor was her attraction to Bomber justified. Love needs no justification - I get that, but between Gill and Bomber her character of being a strong lady was a bit dented. But then, foolishness is the flip side of love often. Ann has portrayed all these emotions wonderfully.

The story kicks off with rookie FBI analyst Caycee joining the team that is tasked to hunt down a serial killer named Omega. Caycee's first day at the job turns out to be a hotbed of activity. The team leader is an egoistic retard who can't see beyond his own career ambitions and Caycee is a bit too smart with tons of attitude! She also meets up with the hot special agent Gil Grah Scarlet Revenge is a fast-paced action thriller with a kick-ass heroine that readers can root for.

She also meets up with the hot special agent Gil Graham who turns out to be her ally and rescues her from losing her job on day one. The story flits between the action of tracking down Omega and the romantic action between Caycee and Gil. The entry of a bombing suspect, Hicks, adds an extra layer of complication to the story as Caycee has to juggle her complicated love life and career as well as protect herself from the diabolical Omega.

The high-octane resolution of the story is intense and gripping and plays out like a Die-Hard movie but with a heroine at the centre of all the action! I'm looking forward to reading Book 2 in this series. Jul 16, Sumeetha Manikandan rated it really liked it.

Scarlet Revenge begins with Caycee Scarlet being inducted into a FBI team that is trying hard to find a serial killer on a rampage. But instead of being appreciated she is transferred out of the team to an interrogation squad. However it does turn into a blessing in disguise as her boss, Gil is an attractive hunk who soon makes her forget the loss of a dream job.

While Scarlet Revenge begins with Caycee Scarlet being inducted into a FBI team that is trying hard to find a serial killer on a rampage. While many in the Omega Killer team want Cacycee back, her old team leader opposes it most vehemently. But the clock is ticking and the next victim that the Omega Killer targets might be just one of them.

The pace of the story is fast enough and will have you turning page after page. Gil and Caycee have an amazing chemistry that virtually sets the pages on fire. The novel have a very strong storyline and I just loved Caycee and Gil, the main characters. The novel was so good that I finished it in two days because I just couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next novel in this series, "Scarlet Envy".

When Caycee, a new FBI Analyst went to her first day of work for the team tracking the Omega Killer, she had high hopes to further her career by being in one of the top priority cases in the prestigious agency. But her plans fell short when she unexpectedly saves a victim and her boss is not happy about it because he wants all the glory for himself so she was transferred to another top secret facility, this time working for a hot boss.

It is far from her dream job and her chances of catching the When Caycee, a new FBI Analyst went to her first day of work for the team tracking the Omega Killer, she had high hopes to further her career by being in one of the top priority cases in the prestigious agency. It is far from her dream job and her chances of catching the Omega Killer becomes little but things become a easier when her boss, Gil has his eye for her and they blow off some steam while trying to keep the relationship a secret. She meets a loyal friend, Alec, a tech guy, who approves of their relationship.

And things get exciting and complicated when one day a bombing suspect called Hicks arrives in the facility seemingly interested, in a sexual way with Caycee to which Gil becomes jealous and hurt at times. Another complication arises when the Omega Killer resurfaces and Caycee has to fight for her team and her life.

I always say that I am a big fan of suspense but romance can never be a bad thing especially when our heroine becomes busy making up her mind if she'll end up with the good guy who is a mix of all things nice like sexy, intelligent who is ready to have a serious commitment with her or the also sexy but dangerous Baseball Bomber who is clearly infatuated in her in a criminal kind of way.

It has the right amount of suspense needed for the story, imagine two serial killers who has some kind of interest in her and how she might have to work with one of them to capture the other. It's got action and it is fast paced, I had to read it without ever stopping, it was that good. There are also lives to be saved and she must consider that without breaking protocol, she is after all working for the FBI. Clearly the story is not as heavy as I thought but who am I to complain? It gave me a distinct picture in my head how everything went on the story. I got to know a brilliant character who is not afraid to speak her mind and reach for her dreams and goals and a serious guy in her life who is willing to risk everything for her.

But it does not work well with her boss Tony Wilkes who wants all the credit to himself. Does that stop her from telling him off? The relationship between Caycee and Gil is hot. But neither of them is sure about the other. They work four days at a stretch at the interrogation facility and have four days off.
