Lance and Andrew have many political manoeuvres to endure as they decide what must be done to protect Lance from the assassins; Lance also wants Andrew free from Stephon and just wants to be with his mate. They have many decisions to make because as a pureblood, the only pureblood to be known to live, he is a danger to the vampires rule over the shifters and that is not something that most vampires want and some shifters. They have to be careful of who they trust because enemies may not be enemies and allies might not be allies.

Andrew is an absolute sweetheart and I really love his entire family well except Uncle Dave. You will love some of the new characters that we finally meet face to face so to speak and you begin to have doubts about others but as I said there are no clear lines so you are left guessing.

I will recommend this to those who love shifters, vampires, paranormal, strong love, hot sex, developing characters, a great story and being left with a desperate hope that the next book will be published soon. A bit of niggling for me, Lance sometimes use big and fancy words in his narrations. Something that seemed, to me at least, at odd with the fact that he hadn't been to highschool. I supposed it could be argue that he read a lot but given his circumstances, he didn't had much time to read if at all.

I think that some 3. The narrations from time to time didn't seemed to be consistence with someone of Lance level of education.

I don't mean that he had to be crass, but perhaps somewhat less Stephon character turned out to be quite a surprising one. And he surprised that Lance was pissed about him hurting Andrew? Watching Andrew and Lance become stronger and their abilities transform was amazing. I only wish we could have seen more from both of them. I didn't think this one was as good as the first, maybe because there was too much talking and not enough action? Who is the Mas 3.

Who is the Master and who was he speaking to? I was SO bummed to find out that the 3rd isn't out yet. Guess I should have realized they were cliffhangers and not read them until the entire series was out. That was my fault. I would like to read the 3rd and would have picked it up tonight. This second part continues where the first book ended. The storyline was easy and pulling enough. But we still didn't get the whole picture about the mysterious bad guy, who is sending assassins after Lance. This mystery is still ongoing and unsolved.

Hope it's coming soon Sep 10, Maya rated it really liked it Shelves: Lance is the last pureblood of the royal blood line of shifters as evidenced by his ability to shift into multiple animals at will and his mate Andrew has taken on the same abilities since their mating.

Not everyone is happy about Lance coming forth as the only pureblood royal. Lance is not about to tolerate anyone hurting the only person that he has ever loved or has ever been loved by, regardless of the cost. The blurb is rather misleading in regards to Stephon. Stephon does prove that he is not the monster Lance thought him to be, he has actually been in love with Andrew for years and is devastated by their mating.

Being one of the oldest born- vampires, Stephon is arrogant and sometimes insensitive but he is not intentionally cruel and he does want the best for Andrew and his family. He eventually tempers his jealousy and agrees to help Lance and Andrew and becomes a powerful ally. There is so much happening in this book that it does leave a few plot holes. There is obviously going to be another book as this one ends without any resolution. Over all, this was an enjoyable installment in the Changing Moon series and I am looking forward to the next book.

Lance Fitz is a shape shifter with royal heritage. He is, in fact, the sole pure bred shape shifter that still exists in the world. The vampire drone vassals that pledged their allegiance to Lance's Mother Lance's shape shifter mother had married a vampire, and they were quite a power couple , now pledge their allegiance to him. Lance becomes the true love of Andrew, and his strength as a purebred shape shifter inspires Andrew to be able to shift into multiple forms as well. Both Lance and Andrew can now shift into wolves, black ravens, and polar bears.

Lance can shift into a tiger as well and probably any other animal that he wants. Vampires have shifter families assigned to them, so the shifters are in servitude to the vampires. Stephon is the vampire with the control over Andrew's family. Lance has every intention to break the hold that Stephon has on his lover's family. Lance breaks the mental control quite easily, but he needs to break the love "crush" that Stephon has over Andrew.

Well, suffice it to say, Lance is able to convince Stephon to give Andrew his freedom.
