La sua intenzione, dice, era piu' che altro di produrre sul lettore un effetto di "straordinarieta'": Credo pero' di esserci riuscita. Ne e venuto fuori un linguaggio divertente, perche' e' molto diverso dalla lingua dominante, anche se perfettamente comprensibile". Il successo di pubblico, pero', deve ancora venire, anche perche' i 4 libri sono usciti tutti insieme lo scorso anno, ed e' stata indubbiamente un'operazione complicata. La casa editrice e' tedesca, ha una filiale in Ungheria, dovve pero' non e' molto conosciuta. Tranne naturalemnte "Il giro di boa", da poco uscito qui in Italia.

Anche in questo caso, il metodo di traduzione e' stato vagliato e concordato con l'editore. Inoltre, la lingua olandese e' anche un po' piu' "seria" di quella italiana, con cui possiamo usare molto piu' disinvoltamente termini volgari. Comunque i libri sono divertenti lo stesso, anche se qualcosa e' andato perduto.

Solo "Il giorno della civetta" di Sciascia, dice l'editrice, e' stato venduto quanto i gialli di Camilleri. Prima traduzione in assoluto di un libro di Camilleri, stampata in copie.
