These books are great for teen-agers and more mature readers who don't like unnecessary sex scenes, violence, or swearing, but enjoy action and adventure with a sci-Fi basis and a touch of romance. I feel that each book got better than the last, and there were some real surprises thrown in that made the story unpredictable but even more believable since real life does not always have happy endings.

I really enjoyed the series and should the author decide to continue the story of the characters in their new setting, I'd love to read it too. One person found this helpful. This and the other 2 books in the series awesome.

When I first started reading the first book I thought it was good and more than I expected that 11, 12 and 13 year olds could be so resourceful, but before that book was over and this book as well as the third it was edge of your seat stuff. It turn out to be one of the best series I've ever read. Loved her take on time travel tech and the human condition , a n original concept highly recommended good read.

I enjoyed the characters, and the variety of viewpoints, as well as the consideration of people making their own choices. Now don't get me wrong, there were a lot of twists and turns and even some parts just seemed a bit over explained. Lillian Mom with a Reading Problem. The rebels are interrogated and released on good faith while Sky receives an implant and is placed in a new Earth Studies exhibit.

Her transformation from the first book to the last is almost a complete She started the series broken and she ends the series a strong, brave young woman. She fights for her friends and her family. She will not be something to throw away by the Kemyates but a force to be reckoned with.

I love that the author decided to write in his POV too. The chapters alternate POV between him and Sky.

I liked Win from the first book and I still do. These quirks of his are endearing and humanize him.

Like Sky, his character has also gone through a major shift. Now he must journey into the desert wastes and through the infamous Floating City to save the ones he loves. A big brother's work is never done. While these books can stand on their own, reading in order will help with context and backstory. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. I absolutely love this book!! The way the story was written was amazing and touching and I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a great love story and an incredible adventure. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because it got a little bit slow for a couple of chapters. Otherwise a Classic Kaye Draper boom.

This story was an amazing read. I couldn't put the book down. It was alittle slow in the begining, but it did pick up and pulled me right into it. It was interesting to see how the male on malr attraction was going to come to light and thats what pulled me into the story. I was sad when it ended, but just like Kaye's other books it was fun.
