Aphrodites Secret (The Forgotten Book 1)
There is onsite property manager who was very helpful. A wonderful place to stay if you looking for a feeling of being away in a beautiful setting with a wonderful amenities. What a wonderful small house. Everything was as described by host and we had wonderful family vacations. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your place! The pool and the resort square was within walking distance from the house.
The only issue was the noise from the fridge and at times the noise from the road. We were very much looking forward to our stay given the 5 star reviews that had previously been written about Jays place. Unfortunately we were disappointed in our experience. There were many spiders and cockroaches also. I killed about 12 spiders in my initial clean of the apartment.
We were killing spiders and cockroaches daily. The couple who manage the property were not aware of our arrival. They were very helpful however once we called. They were very prompt in coming to the apartment to sort out the many issues we had upon our arrival - the upstairs toilet did not work and we were not sure how fresh the sheets were on the beds - the state of the house really made us question everything!
If you like a hard bed and pillows then you will like this bed. We unfortunately found it uncomfortable. The complex is within lovely surroundings and we made good use of the pool. The bakery down the road does great coffee! The whole Aphrodite Hills area however is in the direct flight path for the Paphos airport, there must be at least 10 daily flights with a cluster of about 5 flights between 7pm-9pm. Which was ideal for us. Thanks for everything Jay. Jay was a perfect host and answered all our queries very promptly!
They house is amazingly located, walking distance to the village and hotel facilities. With a young toddler it makes a difference! The villa was well equipped, and even had buckets and spades, inflatable balls, etc. Our little one was happy! And so were we! Tks Jay for a wonderful stay! We want to come back! We spent 3 days in the apartment and had a wonderful time.

Everything was perfect, the location, the great seaview, the well equipped kitchen, the quality bedding, etc. The resort was also nice, and had everything we needed; being able to buy fresh bread in the morning in spite of being quite secluded was a treat. The weather was warm enough to use the nice pool, which we had all to ourselves. This was definitely one of our best Airbnb experiences. The place is great, especially for families with young kids.
Walking distance from the village square, and just 2 minutes walk to the pool. Jay was very helpful, he provided for us a baby cot within a short period of asking. Overall we are very glad and we hope to visit again some day! A great villa with a great outdoor space in an excellent location. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. Fantastic villa, in a wonderful location.
We were looked after well before we arrived which made our stay so enjoyable. This villa is located in a beautiful and peaceful area of Aphrodite Hills and just a ten minute drive from the lovely restaurants in the villages of Kouklia and Pissouri I would strongly recommend them over the more expensive ones in Paphos or the Aphrodite Hills Square. The villa is very clean and the outside space is second to none. The communication with the host Stacey was superb from the minute I booked to the minute we departed Cyprus.
A lovely villa, ideal for a family holiday. We had a wonderful stay. Sam and Russell were very helpful and kind enough to answer all of our questions. The property was amazing and i will definitely go again in the future. Thank you Sam and Russell. We got a welcome package, which was perfect to start a nice holiday. Beautiful view from the pool to the valley. The house was very clean and we had great communication with Sam and Russel. Lovely place and great infinity pool view over the valley. Great communication from Russel and Sam. The owners met us on arrival and explained where everything was.

We had an amazing game of golf, the course is outstanding. We will definitely return for longer next time, thankyou. Perfect stay in perfect place. The apartment was clean stuffed with all accessories you may need. The whole family enjoyed the weather and the resort facilities. The Forgotten Series
The hotel is only a leisurely 10 minute walk from the apartment where you can find lots of nice restaurants and a small, very well stocked if not a little expensive supermarket, which was extremely handy for small lunches and essentials. The pools on the resort were fantastic, and the closest to the apartment was only a minutes walk from the front door - ideal. We loved our holiday in the Anthos Apartment and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing week in a beautiful resort in the sun.
Cyprus is a beautiful place to visit and i'd recommend it to anyone. The beaches are lovely and the people are warm and friendly. With respect to the rental, I like the way Sue has the rental organized. It was beautiful, clean, quiet, and private. We went in September, so the weather was perfect for outside BBQ and family dinners with a sunset. The pool was child friendly and well kept. Sue was excellent at keeping us informed about the rental and the local attractions.
We were able to contact her as needed if we had any questions and she replied quickly. It is within walking distance of all the amenities in the resort and has a wonderful terrace for outdoor dining. George is a very friendly and hospitable owner. Quick responce and assistance in any question. It's a beautiful property, with amazing views, 10 minutes walk from the square of Aphrodite Hills Resort, which offers restaurants, shop, gym, spa and even Costa Coffee.
Any queries we had were quickly resolved and answered which is what you need on holiday. Very nice, well furnished, clean, homey villa. Perfect kitchen equipment and kitchenwares. The writing of the book is great! English has a knack for creating great dialogue and the love scenes are hot, hot, hot in this book. This is a wholly imaginative book and I am so anxious to see where the rest of the series goes. This was a fun read! Sep 12, Heather Osborne rated it really liked it. A novel that takes its reader beyond modern times to ancient worlds and long forgotten gods and goddesses, Aphrodite's Choice was a beautiful read, with memorable characters and a riveting plot.
I found the concept interesting, and was left with a sense of almost bitter contentment to think the old religions had been so forgotten. I loved the romance aspect, as well as the descriptions and time jumps. May 22, Anna rated it it was amazing. Choices Reading different versions of the God's and Goddesses I think this version is the best that I have read in a long time. In a slight way it tells to me that we all have choices and the choice that we make we need to realize that what we have chosen could go either way. In Aphrodite's Choice she made decisions based on whether the person agreed or not and she always followed the rules even though she wanted things differently. This book by Christy English is different from her other books b Choices Reading different versions of the God's and Goddesses I think this version is the best that I have read in a long time.
This book by Christy English is different from her other books but just as wonderful I was totally glued as I read each page I felt like I was there with Addy when she was happy, sad, angry and even when she was so heartbroken Christy brought Addy, Steve,, her sisters and brothers too life so much that you are feeling everything that is going on. I hope Christy writes more of the Goddess Diaries for I fell in love with her description of Addy's sisters and would love to read their choices If anything this book will have you guessing all wrong on the Brotherhood of this time period for when I thought I had the answer Christy got me Sep 01, Stephanie rated it it was amazing Shelves: Aphrodite has walked the Earth for years.
Through Egypt, Crete, Kyrios, Paris, she has been known by many names. She was placed on Earth to serve the Mother by spreading the blessing. By sleeping with different men, Aphrodite is able to heal them, however, the men always forget about her in the morning.
Throughout time Aphrodite has met several men who she has felt that she truly loved, but she is unable to continue a relationship due to the nature of her blessing. Also, throughout time Aph Aphrodite has walked the Earth for years. Also, throughout time Aphrodite and her sisters have been hunted by those who believe that her blessing is witchcraft, calling themselves the Brotherhood of Light. Now, in Boston Aphrodite, who goes by Addy, is being hunted by the newest member of the Brotherhood, Steve.
Steve is being threatened by the Brotherhood that if he does not kills Addy his family will be destroyed. Only Steve does not see any evil or malice in Addy, he sees something deeper, something that goes back thousands of years. I absolutely loved the idea of the Gods and Goddesses still roaming the Earth completing their missions. For her, sex truly is power, the power to heal; and she has healed countless times over her years. However, the Goddess of love can never truly love since the men will forget her after they are intimate; and, of course this is the one thing that Aphrodite wants the most.
Adventure, suspense and intrigue kicks in full gear as Steve and the Brotherhood are introduced. I knew there was something special about Steve right away, but I could have never guessed the connection that he and Aphrodite share. This book was received for free in return for an honest review. I have been a fan of Christy English for several years now, and one of my favorite things about her novels is the seamless way that she is able to weave historical fact and fiction into her stories. As Aphrodite has been around for 9, years, her story covers I have been a fan of Christy English for several years now, and one of my favorite things about her novels is the seamless way that she is able to weave historical fact and fiction into her stories.
As Aphrodite has been around for 9, years, her story covers many different periods of history, as well as fascinating places like Versailles, Corinth, Cyprus, etc. Despite being the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite has somehow avoided truly falling in love during her many, many interactions with members of the opposite sex. That is, until she meets Steven Wharton, who is a danger to more than just her heart. Aphrodite who goes by Addy in modern times is faced with the daunting task of not only keeping herself safe from those who want to destroy her, but also to protect her sisters.
This novel is full of drama and intrigue, and the author does a great job of creating romance and passion, without it coming across as a tacky bodice-ripper. Paranormal romance is definitely not a genre I would normally read, but I wanted to give it a chance after I discovered that Christy English was the author. There was enough of a historical aspect added to the novel to keep my interest, so in the end I was happy that I gave it a chance.

So I couldn't pass this opportunity up. I find mythology interesting but my knowledge isn't that vast but I know enough to get by. This book peeked my interest to learn more about this ancient period in history. I found the premise for Aphrodite's Choice to be unique, grabbing my attention right away and kept me glued to my kindle.
Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, but can she truly find love herself? The author used real historical events as the backdrop, taking me back in time, getting to know Aphrodite along the way. As the story unfolded I found myself reading faster as the action sped up, suffice to say it wasn't hard to get lost in this story. I loved the author's writing style, she creates enough mystery and suspense that kept me guessing and then surprised me with the ending. Definitely a book and author I recommend. This is book one in the Goddess Diaries Series and I am anxious to see what takes place in book two.

Marcus was very sweet and didn't hide the fact that he was in love with Portia, unlike the typical rake found in a lot of historical romances. I found myself skimming a lot of the murder plot portions of the book.
I would have liked it if she made more of the fact that she was infatuated with him from afar when they were younger. Apr 01, Kim rated it it was ok Shelves: I liked the hero and heroine in this, but I never quite managed to understand why the conflict was Jul 08, Draven rated it did not like it. For two people having an illicit, scandalous affair, they sure lacked the requisite heat. Codependent and simpering, it had everything I hate in a romance novel, not to mention all the liberties Bennett took with historical fact regarding Queen Victoria.
Did not enjoy a single aspect of Portia and Marcus' story. This is a bottom of the sale bin book for me. Jul 31, Diana rated it did not like it. The plot was thin and overwrought. Skimmed through all of it. I'm surprised I didn't throw this against the wall. Sep 22, Yolanda rated it really liked it Shelves: What can I say.
