A handpainted pattern with four motifs, a bow and quiver, a cross with lilies, a torch with roses, and an anchor with ivy.
Album describing embroidery patterns for clothes as well as diagrams showing the sewing pattern for these clothes. Identical to the Wolf Dupeyron album of the same title. Handpainted embroidery pattern showing a black chantilly lace ribbon with four flowers. Flowers made of yarn. Ring around the Star. Crochet and sewing, match holders in flower shapes.

Drawings show the layout of pattern pieces and some details of sewing. Single sheet with ten more or less round motifs with leaves, flowers, and berries, and a double row of an edge design.

Wooden lawn and garden ornaments. A repeating pattern with green and cream diamonds, yellow details and dark brown backstitches, from an old table runner. Dated 15 May A repeating pattern with pink flowers on a white background. Handpainted, the paint worn through in spots. Titled Pracovna v Praze, dated December The title gets translated as "Office in Prague".
A single sheet, lithographed, with four heraldic motifs. One of the smaller Cartier Bresson albums, this one about Frivolite. A basic introduction and then a number of frivolite patterns described and photographed. There are no schematic drawings of the items. Nine handpainted pattern sheets. Fairly abstract patterns, for crochet, it says.
A tea cosy, and several round and square designs, possibly for doilies or rugs. The instructions say something like one single crochet, one chain crochet. Gittertull is a kind of coarse tulle, made with partly tinsel threads. Stapled oblong collection of 9 sheets with embroidery patterns, one a fold-out. Corners, edges, four powdering patterns. A description of a march for sixteen children in a rose costume. The costume is described as well. The advertisements mention many more such publications. Single leaf torn from an issue of Petersons Magazine. Design for a slipper, split in a toe and a band around the heel. Corner pattern with pink flowers.

Full sized charted tapestry embroidery pattern for a shoe, with applied color strips to indicate thread color. One page, front and back, from an old herbal , concerning madder, a plant from which the roots were used to make a red dye. A folder with ten pattern sheets for dolls' clothes. The pattern pieces are spread over the different sheets. This folder probably belongs with C-YS, Die Fleissige Puppenschneiderin, a German-language book which probably contains the descriptions of the individual costumes. No instructions are given. Most are edge designs. Medium sized brown leporello, 6 pages, one side handpainted patterns other side blank. Floral and abstract corner designs, and a heraldic repeating pattern. Suitable for cross-stitch, beadwork, tapisserie. A handpainted pattern, x80, with an alphabet in nine colors. The impression is that it's decorated with flowers, but the size is quite small and the flowers are more suggested than detailed. The second number in a series dealing with primitive and oriental designs. A simple Berlin woolwork purse, sewn around with cord and decorated with two gold metal tassels.
A single sheet, probably taken from a booklet, with a corner design. The flowers are pink carnations, surrounded by blue swirls. Fines et Grosses Dentelles. Page 16 and 17 combined in one image. Applications of lace to curtains, tablecloths, dress, nightwear, lingerie, pillows. Embroidery pattern showing chickens outside, with little chicks and three grown birds. Second book in the series of weaving with small appliances.

The windmills were designed by someone who actually saw them. Lovely silk pouch, light blue background fabric, over which bobbin lace and silk ribbons have been woven. Quilted on the inside. The silk ribbons are nearly worn through, showing some construction detail.
Newly Added Crochet Patterns
Of course, they brought their craft with them and the art of crocheting spread throughout the United States. Today you can literally find thousands of different crochet patterns and you can craft anything from a decorative flower to an afghan. And instead of patterns for cell phone cases, the earliest patterns were for purses made from gold and silver silk thread. It saved a generation of Irish from famine, and it helps millions of people today unwind, express their creative side, and make money from their craftwork.
There are literally thousands upon thousands of free crochet patterns that are no longer available simply because they were published many years ago and are now out of print. Fortunately, the Internet gives us the opportunity to share these fun, exciting and long lost designs for everyone to enjoy again. We are currently working on reproducing our library of vintage patterns that have passed into the public domain and will include them here as quickly as we can.
