I can't wait to try it out at the zoo! As soon and she was out if the stroller she put on her back pack and it worked great. Then I had kids. I can't believe I bought this. I used to be so against putting a leash on a child. Then I had a child who liked to run and didn't like to listen! Now he's safe and I can actually accomplish something when we're out running errands. Love the backpack style. It's the perfect fit for my two year old.

When he doesn't need the leash I just unhook it from the bottom and he can continue to wear it. The backpack is a pretty good size to hold snacks and his sippy cup.

When in use I usually hook it to my Mommy Hook so I can continue to push the stroller. I honestly don't know what I would do without it! Okay, so I always said I'd never get one of these. Thought they were lame, controlling, belittling, embarrassing, etc. However, once our 3 year old started running off on us in public places, I started considering this idea more.

Well, just a week or so before my wife took my daughter to Disneyland, she had her run off and couldn't find her for several minutes even though it was just an uncrowded grocery store.

So, we decided the pack and strap idea would probably be necessary in a crowded, crazy theme park. The pack is a little smaller than I thought it would be, but honestly that didn't bug me because we needed it less for carrying items and more for restraining our sprinting spawn. I'm happy to report that the backpack did the trick in Disneyland, and not only did it prevent her from running off, it's even helped us "train" our kid from attempting it.

At this point, we use the pack as a consequence aka threat , and our little one hasn't run off on us since. Safety Harness Backpack in Pink. No weird smells or defects. Liesch comes off to allow backpack use or harness use; can be connected to top or bottom.

Great front mesh pocket to easily throw things in quickly if you are on the move. Side pockets work great for juice boxes or pay doh. Very roomy, no pockets inside bag. Well made backpack and toddler loves it; goody bag filled with all her items. Took her a day to get used to being limited to a certain radius but no big fuss.

Note that my 2-year-old is the side of a 3 to 4 year old.

Works great for travel, to keep them safe! Used in multiple airports, Hawaii near waterfalls, and will take to cruise in Alaska. Will write back if damaged through use by toddler. Colors look even better in person, and construction is surprisingly good. I hate it when something is pictured making it look like an awesome citron type green, and after it ships it's an ugly lime green in person.

I think this one is the good color of citron green. I saw one review complain that with the strap attached at the bottom how it's designed , their kid would tip over, but you can easily clip the leash onto the "toy" loop in the middle of the back, or into the top loop. I strapped the backpack onto my 15 month old son, and he seemed to instantly forget it was there, playing normally.

I like clipping the strap onto the "toy" loop in the middle, and putting the leash into the mesh pocket for storage. Yes, I know this isn't how it's designed to be used, but seems all pretty sturdy construction - way better construction than I was expecting for the price. This is definitely going with me to the airport so he can get his ya-yas out running around before we get on the plane, and I don't have to worry about him getting away from me. Haven't used it much yet, will update review as we run it and my son through their paces.

We bought this so we could ensure our 2 year olds safety while on a cruise. It acted as his diaper bag, easily held a few diapers, small pack of wipes, snacks, and his cup. He loved wearing it and would often put it on and hand is the leash when he was ready to go. Yes, we got some looks and a few side comments but we had a blast and he stayed safe.
