Much love for your pattern. So much nicer than chaining 3 to complete curve. I love your little hearts! Just getting into crocheting and wanted to make hearts for valentines. Hi this is the first pattern for hearts ive been able to follow and complete the large heart would it be easy enough to add a white border to to this heart? I think where I got confused was at the beginning of round 3 where the first stitch begins after the round 2 ch-sp.

Is it possible to make it a bit bigger by one or two rows? Please, I would really love that for the baby blanket I am making. I want to put it on a granny square. Nancy, the technique is exactly the same as I demonstrate in my Magic Ring video — the only difference is that, instead of the 6 sc I demonstrate in the video, you make all the stitches of Rnd 1 of the heart into the ring before you pull it closed! Just tried this and have to say this is one of the prettiest-shaped hearts I have ever crocheted. And it is so easy.

All PlanetJune patterns use standard US terminology. I give all the UK conversions in the Terminology section at the top of the pattern. At the beginning do I have to do a magic ring or would a slip knot work as well? Many thanks for the excellent tutorial for the lovely little hearts. I just realized this morning its Valentine's Day! My Mom is in the local Care Center after a massive stroke in November of I found this pattern and have finished the first one. Turned out perfect and so easy. I am going to string 5 together and on the middle 3 use a tapestry needle and white yarn She will love it and with it being so easy to make I can have it done and get over there before noon.

I made a couple of these in the last few days and today made a little tiny heart version of this by using a magic circle and crocheting inside it. Make the magic circle then inside of it chain 4, 2 triple crochet, 3 double crochet, chain 1, 1 triple crochet, chain 1, 3 double crochet, 2 triple crochet, chain 3, and slip stitch to center of circle.

Pull magic circle tight and tie off. I used it on a little baby bonnet. I'll be posting pics tomorrow on my blog. Thanks for the inspiration! I love that garland. Perhaps you're not a crochet pattern writer, but perhaps you should be. What a great project! They do come together quickly. I got so inspired, that I added tiers and added pink ruffle fringe for accent.

I also varied the sizes to keep it from looking too bulky. My kiddos love the ones I made for their rooms. I could go overborad with heart garland, but I think my hubby might object! You are a good pattern writer because I actually could follow yours where I have a hard time with others! I just made this and it's wonderful.
