I loved that the antagonist in this story was the past that had to be overcome and not an actual third party enemy. Bethany Claire has a wonderful series here and I look forward to reading the next in the series.

Christmas Romance in Scotland (Christmas Romance, book 2) by De-Ann Black

I would love to read this one again actually at Christmas time but the love and the spirit was there just same even though it is spring. The use of the imagery and my own love of Scotland drew me right into the snowy winter. I loved the idea that Bethany Claire went with using character that aren't just the typical cookiecutter romance novel age appropriate.

It was fine when I was younger when every heroine was under twenty-two but I'm very happy in this series and especially this book there is an older heroine and hero who find love. Short, but covered all the bases. I enjoyed this book because it was about Bri's mother and her adventures. Fun to get to know her along with all the other characters in the series! Make sure to read this one before you read book three.

I would recommend this to all who love romantic time travel books. The lead characters are so likeable; it's wonderful that they got to have a story of their own. It's so nice to find an author who tells a story about something you are already interested in, but does it in a way that is new and different and refreshing.

I'm really looking forward to the next book and I hope Bethany Claire continues this series for a long time. It takes you away to be with this family and brings tears and laughter to your face and your heart while you are reading it and makes you never want to stop reading about their amazing lives! Read it, you'll never want to put it down!! Although this can be read as a standalone novella, it could more accurately be described as Book 2.
