My Favorite Sermons Vol1

Post navigation

These books represent a variety of traditions, styles, beliefs, methods, and theological homes — and so every single one has something to teach me. I often hear from women who feel called to preach but cannot seem to find support or resources within their churches or communities of faith or traditions.

They often do not have a vision or a reference point for women who preach in their lives. There is not a single time that I preach a sermon without hearing from someone that this was the first time they had ever heard a woman preach. May these books find their way in particular to these precious sisters to affirm, refine, resource, and equip them for their life work! Especially for women like myself who have not had the privilege of going to seminary or likely ever will!

the best list ever, by Danielle: vol. 1

My hope is that you will check these books out of the library or buy them at your local bookstore either for yourself or for a woman in your life who preaches or is called to preach. Of course, the biggest problem with this list is keeping it manageable. There are so many amazing options available now that I ended up simply choosing my personal favourites on the topic rather than using any other metric.

So I look forward to your contributions and suggestions in the comments, for sure! This is certainly NOT exhaustive.
