Book is readable though. If you don't know much about brown water Navy. Might be a good read. Interesting read and insight into an aspect of the Vietnam War that has received little attention. I served in Vietnam , on a navy destroy escort.

Lots of errors in this book! Was a very good novel about serving on PBRs during the Vietnam war. Not as many books on this subject as there are on ground and air combat so this is definitely a book to read. There are a few problems with acronyms such as NAV being used in place of NVA, but you can easily get past them and they don't detract from the story. If you want a understanding of all that went on in Vietnam then you need to include the brown water sailors and this novel is a good addition. Hope did many specials for the NBC television network in the following decades, beginning in April He was one of the first people to use cue cards.
