Auch an Spannung mangelt es dem Film, der deutlich aufwendiger war als viele Science-fiction-Filme seiner Zeit, nicht.

Leider waren Kritik und vor allem die "Star-Trek"-Fangemeinde nicht so enthusiastisch, hat doch der erste "Star-Trek"-Kinofilm bei ihnen weiterhin einen sehr schweren Stand. Noch nie sah das Weltall auf der Leinwand besser aus. Das Grauen aus der Tiefe Originaltitel: Humanoids from the Deep.

Steve findet heraus, dass ihr Haus auf einem alten Indianerfriedhof errichtet wurde — man hat lediglich die Grabsteine an einen anderen Ort verfrachtet, die Toten jedoch blieben an Ort und Stelle. Mit noch mehr Kreaturen und Effekten auf der Leinwand als in den vorangegangenen Filmen schliesst sich der Kreis der fulminanten Sternen-Saga.

Adventures in the Forbidden Zone. Dazu gibt es einen unvergesslichen Soundtrack von Elmer Bernstein. Erstaunlich und schade, dass der damals teuerste bis anhin gedrehte 3-D-Film dermassen in der Versenkung verschwand.

Wenigstens in meiner Welt ein unsterblicher Klassiker. Krieg der Eispiraten Originaltitel: Sikking, Dame Judith Anderson. An Bord herrscht traurige Stimmung. Leonard McCoys Bewusstsein transferiert wurde, nach Vulkan zu bringen. Neben der Befehlsverweigerung macht ihnen auch der klingonische "Bird-of-Prey"-Kommandant Kruge, der hinter dem "Genesis"-Projekt her ist, das Leben schwer. Die Situation scheint ausweglos, als Kirk und seine Getreuen mit ihrem Klingonenschiff bei der Erde ankommen.

Dies mag unter anderem daran liegen, dass die Filmemacher sich auf die Kurzgeschichte " Einbruch der Nacht " " Nightfall ", des bekannten Autors Isaac Asimov beriefen, von der im fertigen Film nicht mehr viel zu sehen ist.

Es war der zweite von insgesamt nur drei Filmen, die der danach in der Versenkung verschwundene Regisseur Paul Mayersberg drehte. Von dort gelangt das Resultat eines Experiments, an welchem die gesamte Besatzung des russischen Schiffs ihr Leben liess, an Bord der Station.

Robot Jox — Die Schlacht der Stahlgiganten. Cabal — Die Brut der Nacht. Dies ist eine ganz grosse Horrorgeschichte, eine schauerromantische dunkle Fantasie , die Barker in seinem hoch ambitionierten zweiten Filmprojekt nach "Hellraiser" auf die grosse Leinwand bringen wollte. Die Produktionsfirma "Morgan Creek" konnte mit der komplexen Geschichte nicht viel anfangen, wollte sie doch eigentlich einen konventionellen " Slasher "-Film haben.

Dennoch erlitt er an den Kinokassen Schiffbruch. Leatherface — Die neue Dimension des Grauens. Mutronics — Invasion der Supermutanten. It's Guyver to the rescue. Dies wurde budget-bedingt allerdings auch kaum versucht, wobei die Fortsetzung "Guyver — Dark Hero" von es allerdings deutlich besser macht. Das Bild Widescreen , ca. McCoy , die erste Hilfe leisten wollen, werden verhaftet und in einem Schauprozess zu lebenslanger Strafarbeit auf dem eisigen klingonischen Gefangenenasteroid Rura Penthe verurteilt.

Nun liegt es am weisen Mr. Spock noch einmal eine wahre Gala-Vorstellung zum Besten gibt. Terminator 2 — Tag der Abrechnung. Trotzdem gelingt es ihm, Connor vor dem Zugriff des T, der zumeist in der Gestalt eines Polizeioffiziers auftritt, zu bewahren.

Dark Universe — Saurier-Horror aus dem Weltraum. Garou ist ein Werwolf. Guyver — Dark Hero. Als die Zoanoiden ihre wahre Gestalt offenbaren, kann nur noch der Guyver helfen. Zwei Polizisten aus Los Angeles , Tucker und seine neue Partnerin Flynn, untersuchen den scheinbar grundlosen Mord an einem Jungen durch eine russische Wissenschaftlerin. Polizeichef Mac, Tuckers Freund, muss dabei mit dem Leben bezahlen. Erst gegen Ende hin gibt es eine Handvoll sehenswerter Sci-fi-Spezialeffekte zu sehen.

Robot Jox 2 — Krieg der Stahlgiganten Originaltitel: K ann der Wahrsager Crisko den entscheidenden Hinweis geben, wie die Eindringlinge auszuschalten sind? Dennoch wurde der "Geist" der Filme Ed Woods stellenweise perfekt getroffen. Capcom Entertainment Capcom Co. Dhalsim zu einem genetisch manipulierten Super-Soldaten umfunktionieren. Bald regieren Panik und Wahnsinn die neblige Szenerie. Robo Warriors — Die Schlacht der Kampfgiganten! Er war einer der "Robo Warriors", jener Piloten gigantischer Kampfroboter, die einst das Schicksal der Erde in einem geregelten Roboter-Kampf in der "Arena of Stone" gegen einen Teridaxx-Vertreter besiegelten, indem sie den Kampf verloren.

Und Zach gelingt, was sonst keiner zustande brachte: Er findet den abgehalfterten, doch lebenden Gibson. In der Tiefe des wenig erforschten brasilianischen Regenwaldes suchen Dr. Konzentrierte sich "Deep Impact" mehr auf die Folgen des Einschlags, so will man diesen bei "Armageddon" in erster Linie verhindern. Weltraum, Proyas, dunkler Planet "Dark Planet": Deshalb schickt sein Handlanger das Ungeheuer Kraa dorthin, auf dass es alles vernichte und Doom den Weg bereite. Den Schauspielern ist am besten gedient, wenn man nicht weiter auf sie eingeht, die Inszenierung ist aber selbstironisch genug, um das mangelnde Budget nicht zu sehr am Unterhaltungswert nagen zu lassen. Erneut gibt es eine Unzahl fantastischer Kreaturen und fremder Planeten zu sehen, mittlerweile — im Gegensatz zu jenen der Original-Trilogie — allerdings weitgehend durch CGI -Spezialeffekte zum Leben erweckt. Langweilig wird es allerdings dennoch nie — zu grandios ist die Optik, zu abwechslungs- und einfallsreich die Handlung.
