Also, it was several years apart that I attended the "seminars" And they had changed drastically from visit to visit. So, I think they are "working" out their information as they go. I think the gospel is set in stone and needs nothing new added or taken away. But he sure has his devotees I think just because someone has a "cult" following does not necessarily make them right.
BTW, someone in a review called him a Dr. To my knowledge and according to his websites information, He is just a regular guy with no education. I would beware and wary of this program book and teaching. But if you have already drank the kool aid I know I wouldn't have listened either View all 4 comments. Dec 28, Velda rated it it was amazing. This book is amazing. Teaches on spiritual roots of disease and separation from God, self and others. This book has taught me a great deal. Jul 21, Mom 2 rated it really liked it Recommends it for: Wright's ministry team discovered through revelation and results, a lot of the reasons why we get sick and stay sick, and what seemed to work to accomplish supernatural healing.
Don't read it if you don't want to do the hard work of self-confrontation. BE sure to apply it to yourself before you read it to learn how t a compilation of reasons why people are sick, spiritual and emotional roots of particular conditions and diseases, put together from years of experience praying for sick people. BE sure to apply it to yourself before you read it to learn how to pray for others.
Basically, I never saw Jesus delve deeply into inner-healing, but we're still amateurs at this healing stuff, so whatever works, for now, is better than not praying for healing at all. Perhaps a time will come when our prayers will need only be "short, sweet and immediately successful" as Jesus' were! Jun 12, Otgo rated it it was amazing. I need to start this review carefully because I don't want to lose anyone reading it immediately.
Atheists, Jews, Christians, Hindus, and Buddhist have been healed by using the techniques and principles in this book. Point blank, this book is about illnesses of all kinds and their spiritual roots. In addition to all the other people with other illnesses that have been healed. Yet, I have spoken to one person and read the stories of numerous others completely healed from using the techniques in this book. I'm posting those reviews immediately after posting this one. I've been applying these principles and I have seen considerable improvements in my own health over the last couple of weeks.

We refer to his book on occasion in our ministry but over all I believe He uses scripture out of context at times and has stated that Jesus is "all" man. Well, Paul states that we knew Him as man while here with us but now He is resurrected and is spirit.
Also, he has stated that Jesus wasn't there in our traumatic moments I think Wright has some truth but you'd better do your homework on the scriptures to test this man's application of them. Jun 22, Rachael rated it it was amazing. Excellent insight into the roots of various diseases.
It's a go-to reference for me. Rating based on content, not writing style. Aug 19, V Christine rated it it was amazing. The scriptures tell us things that are painfully clear already, such as 'We see through a glass darkly". No man on earth has the whole picture yet. We won't know - even as we are known - until we are with Jesus Christ.. Henry Wright is one of the few who have dedicated himself to searching out truth.
Which makes him no different than any other man who has sought truth and taught it.

If we waited to have ministers who knew it al The scriptures tell us things that are painfully clear already, such as 'We see through a glass darkly". If we waited to have ministers who knew it all perfectly, none would minister to us. I have not only read Wright's book "A More Excellent Way", I have used its tremendous truths to heal myself and help others heal themselves.
I have put the book in front of myself a few years ago when I suffered severe shoulder pain which was growing increasingly worse to where I couldn't pick up a cup of coffee.
I asked the Lord to use the book to show me what was wrong. He took me to the page where Henry described, 'Osteoarthritis' as being a result of self guilt and bitterness. Which emotions described exactly the litany of negative self assaults I'd been suffering since I had learned of the suffering and death of an acquaintance. I felt like 'had I tried' I might have saved her life. That's the short story. Anyway, unforgiveness, even against yourself, is sin.
This book must remain a permanent fixture in my library for reference at a later date as necessary. I'm very grateful for the ministry of Dr Henry Wrig A very helpful tool for anyone in healing and deliverance ministry. Jun 27, Maggie Lynn Heron-Heidel rated it it was amazing. A must read for anyone who is dealing with any kind of illness!

Aug 19, Lana Jackson rated it it was amazing Shelves: Henry Wright, a former pre-med student now pastor and founder of Be In Health Ministries, explains the spiritual roots of disease and the blocks to healing. He combines Biblical truth with scientific facts to illustrate the message of healing in an easily understandable manner.
The last section of the book is compiled with many written testimonies from people who have received healing from various incurable diseases through this teaching. Goes to the emotional and psychological component of what underlies illness. Every home needs a copy of this book. Great reference and research with personal testimonies of people with all types of disease. Jan 03, Andrew rated it liked it. I like that he asks that we take responsibility for ourselves; to fix ourselves that is by asking Jesus. But I'm not sure if his spiritual approach is on par with the Bible. Insightful teaching on healing.

For that reason many of us are filled with disease and insanity today because we have said in our heart that it passed away two thousand years ago yet we still participate in the sacrament of Communion which represents its reality for today. But be careful, ignorance is a form of knowledge and so is unbelief. To back up this confusing statement, he quotes 1 Peter 2: If you will go read 1 Peter 2, you will see that the context 2: And that it 2: In that paragraph Christ is given as an example of submitting, even when it is unjust.
And the result is that through his submission to the beatings and the cross we are healed saved. There is nothing in this passage about physical healing. It is about eternal salvation and our response to God as saved people; we are to suffer for Christ and do so for being good, not for being evil. When Wright says that disease is always 1 the result of sin, I immediately think about Paul. That would certainly be a minority viewpoint. The point of Romans is that we cannot overcome the old nature by our own power.
But we CAN find victory over sin. As usual, Wright is taking verses out of context to prove his point. What is Wright teaching about struggles against the sin nature? What hope is there? Wright continues his discussion of Paul later in the book p. He says our battle is not with flesh and blood, but with entities from another kingdom.

He takes us to Hebrews 4: It means that God sees the heart of all creatures, i. And lest one think that has to be a typo or something because his interpretation is so outrageous, he quotes Hebrews 4: Wright also points to Job 3: A couple of things stand out as wrong with this. Before mentioning Job, Wright has just claimed that the cause of aneurysms, strokes, hemorrhoids, and varicose veins is fear and anxiety. Did any of those things happen to Job?
And God himself said that Job was the most righteous man on the earth. Yes, Job did fear was concerned? And he trusted God through it all. After all, if there is no worry, fear, etc. To say Job feared, is not to say that Job was controlled by his fear.
A More Excellent Way : Henry W. Wright :
I will discuss this at the end. Wright says that osteoporosis is caused by envy. On page 61 he quotes Prov In both of those passages we have examples of Hebrew poetry and parallelism. You say something one way and then you repeat it or reverse it and use a different word which stands for the same thing.
The part represents the whole. There is a fancy seminary word for it. It is called synecdoche. However, Wright never mentions Prov He continues his discussion of MCS on p. He has commissioned me to encourage the poor, to help the brokenhearted, to decree the release of captives, and the freeing of prisoners,. I spend more time healing broken hearts than you can imagine. Then, when you get to heaven, you can give Him thanks for it. They will be called godly oaks, trees planted by the Lord to reveal his splendor. This is the breaking of inherited genetic curses.
This is breaking inherited familiar spirits from your family trees, the rollovers, specifically meaning spiritually, psychologically and biologically inherited diseases. The revival coming is one of sanctification and purification. I will tell you with all the authority of my heart that I can know, that the only way that it will be ushered in is the same way it was ushered in the first time: The healing of diseases, the casting out of evil spirits, and the establishment of His grace and His mercy—you can go and read about it from Romans to Jude.
That was a long quote, but I think it is helpful to see how he reads lots of scripture and then throws in his comments. What is the Isaiah prophecy really about? Jesus quotes that verse when he stands up in the synagogue to teach in Luke 4: He was announcing that He was the Messiah. If Henry Wright is claiming that verse for himself does he realize the implications? Note also that Jesus stops the quote of Isaiah at The rest of the Isaiah passage was not being fulfilled at that time. In other words, it is after the tribulation.
So the rest of the passage is about the restoration of Israel after the tribulation. On page Wright continues his discussion of MCS. When spiritual roots are dealt with, that is exactly what happens. Have you not read the scripture—if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not harm you?
God created your body to cleanse itself of impurities. The spiritual root of the toxic retention is fear and anxiety. A couple things stand out here. Why would he use the verse as proof and then tell us not to obey it?

Second, I thought that MCS was not caused by toxins. It was caused by a broken spirit. His explanation is as follows:.
