It can be understood that while intense coverage tends to exalt certain problems, the omission of others may contribute to political underrating of the latter. For this, the following were proposed: Psychosocial care centers are one of the main strategies for ensuring mental healthcare within the scope of the brasilian psychiatric reform and have required considerable numbers of workers involved in new practices. In this study, it was sought to discover how the process of introducing these workers into the services took place, how they are perceived and how they perceive their practices within the new context.
This was a qualitative study using the method of thematic oral history, guided by interviews in order to produce data. Thematic analysis was used to discuss the results.

From this analysis, four thematic categories emerged: The statements indicated that there was a need for care among the workers, taking into considering the demands on them, with the aim that these services might function at their full potential. A qualitative research approach was used, with the focus group technique, involving eight phases of the course and addressing the main issues relating to curricular changes. They considered themselves unprepared for relating to these patients, but learned through hands-on experience. The results from the study indicate the need to introduce material within medical training that is aimed at developing interpersonal skills and a capacity to reflect on ethical questions and medical deontology involving the terminality of life.
With the aim of identifying the needs for changes in nurse training when taking care to be the domain at the specific center of nursing practice, a qualitative study was developed using interview data from focal groups involving lecturers and students from nursing schools in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

In these nursing schools, the concept of care that translates how to act incorporates an integral view of human beings and takes shape through relationships of intersubjectivity. However, the prevailing pedagogical and assistance-providing practice reiterates the biomedical model and weakens the notion of care expressed by participants. This indicates that the challenge for training is to be occupied with teaching that conserves the care practices of the specific professional center and their intersections within the healthcare field, in a movement that gives value to learning guided by reality, within which students experience and reflect on the care process.
Taking a qualitative research approach, data were collected in using semi-structured interviews and were organized using the collective subject discourse method. The prenatal and birth humanization program PHPN was the theoretical reference point for discussing the results. The puerperal women's perspectives regarding healthcare during the pregnancy-puerperium cycle demonstrated the importance of interpersonal relationships, indispensability of technical quality in the care provided and correctness of the perception that the subject of attention is the woman, and that, as such, she should have effective participation in the process.
It was concluded that the PHPN guidelines should be incorporated more broadly into healthcare practices aimed towards women and that specific indicators for assessing the care dimensions demonstrated by this study should be adopted.
This essay refers to the route achieved and to some theoretical-practical tools produced for a clinic with old people. The sharing of some concepts that permeate the boundaries between old age and suffering become a very important tool for this clinic, demanding other interventions facing the other ones traditionally achieved, mainly in situation of institutionalization.
The proposition of a clinic with old people started from an interest related to this stage of life, more specifically, in relation to the presence of a moral discourse and ways of hegemonic subjectivation that qualify it as a rotten band of life. The aim of this study was to analyze the social representations of women with chemical dependence, regarding the contribution of corporal practices towards their process of recovery and reintegration into society.

Fourteen women hospitalized in a treatment institution were interviewed and observed in relation to their participation in a corporal practice program, systematized in the form of games and exercises. Their words and practices showed contradictions between feelings, justifications and perspectives with regard to the use of their own bodies. Based on these results, it was sought to understand how the social conditions of their lives mediated the way these women organized themselves to benefit their health.
Con base en la posibilidad de oir las historias de sus vidas, se registraron relatos acerca del adolecimiento: This article deals with the experience of becoming ill and the repercussions of these circumstances on Aids patients' lives. It presents questions relating to the diagnosis and hospitalization. Its aim was to give voice to patients as a means of understanding their condition and reconnecting the disruptions experienced during and due to the illness.
Based on the possibility of listening to the stories of their lives, reports on how they became ill have been recorded. The patients presented either stories about the disease or stories of the disease, and used this resource as an instrument to transform events and constitute their own view of the world of the disease. Within a single person, the witness, story and disease were merged. This study aimed to present the perceptions of curricular changes among dentistry students through the qualitative methodological approach of a case study.
A total of students from eight semesters participated. A qualitative research approach was used, with the focus group technique, involving eight phases of the course and addressing the main issues relating to curricular changes. Two categories were identified through content analysis: A feeling of acceptance of the curricular changes prevailed, although the dimensions of this acceptance need to be determined and the new curriculum needs to be better understood by the subjects involved in the changes, so that it does not become a formal prescriptive document.
En este modelo se consideran cuatro factores: Political and administrative discontinuity is a phenomenon within the Brazilian political system, notably in the municipal sphere. Through the efforts towards decentralization and municipalization that were defined by the constitution, the process of health policy implementation has been affected by discontinuity. This has causing damage, including delays and interruptions in non-formal education programs that are important for promoting empowerment.

As a proposal for reflection, a model for conducting primary surveys in municipalities is presented here. Four factors are considered in this model: These factors refer to policy organization at the levels of governability and governance. The objective of this essay was to contribute towards understanding the phenomenon of political and administrative discontinuity observed in Brazilian municipalities since the implementation of the Brazilian Health System SUS. La eficiencia y efectividad de las acciones mostraron la importancia de la iniciativa.
The aims were based on multidisciplinary care provided by legal professionals, healthcare professionals and social workers. An evaluative investigation on this program was conducted over a three-year period by means of triangulation of quantitative and qualitative methods. The lessons learned came from the viewpoints of the different players who shared in these experiences.. The efficiency and effectiveness of the actions performed showed the importance of the initiative.
However, the investigation also indicated the limitations of the program, particularly regarding sustainability problems caused by lack of investment by the administrators and discontinuity of support from the DHR. In , out of the 18 projects that had been implemented, six had ceased activities, 12 remained active and two of the latter had expanded their actions.
